Fairmount Behavioral Health is currently seeking a full time Nurse Manager. The Nurse Manager serves as an integral part of the Nursing Administration team at Fairmount Behavioral Health. The Nurse Manager provides administrative and nursing supervision to all nursingstaff and psychiatric technicians on assigned unit/s. The Nurses Manager is a liaison to department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments on their unit/s. The individual must promote patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice.

Located on a beautiful 27-acre wooded campus, Fairmount Behavioral Health System is the largest freestanding behavioral health hospital in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Fairmount is a private 239-bed behavioral health facility that specializes in treatment for children, adolescents and adults. We provide acute inpatient psychiatric, residential drug/alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation and acute partial hospitalization programs. We are now offering Gender-Responsive and Trauma-Informed Treatment for Adolescent Girls and Adult Women. For 90 years, Fairmount has been a major regional resource for individuals experiencing psychiatric, behavioral or addiction issues.

Job Requirements

All applicants for the Nurse Manager position must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, preferably a Bachelor's degree program. Applicants must have current Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Two years clinical experience with psychiatric mental health population, previous clinical supervisory role in psychiatric setting preferred. Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.

All applicants must also be able to serve as psychiatric nurse, work under stress, have strong communication skills, the ability to problem solve, be customer service oriented and have the abilities to lead by example and educate staff. Basic computer skills required.
