Auto req ID: 251809BR Job Description Role is responsible for all EHS initiatives within the Northeast Region Sales function. Responsibilities include ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of company-wide EHS programs and systems Interface and negotiation with federal, state and local government agencies (EPA, DOT, OSHA) Investigate EHS incidents and manage regulatory investigation/inspection and enforcement actions. Organize, execute and lead EHS audits Support workers compensation claim management while ensuring the utilization of preferred medical providers and execution of Frito-Lay's Return-To-Work program. Ability to support Fleet/DOT programs and deliver strong defensive driving training initiatives Execute within an EHS budget process Ability to perform risk assessments and determine plausible corrective actions Ability to lead risk reduction initiatives Analyze data trends & performance to ensure that the right priorities are identified and acted upon Identify issues, coach and lead field locations in development of a corrective action plan to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniques (5-Why, etc.) Conduct periodic site visits and EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and company EHS processes and policies.Candidate Must Have the Ability to: Persuade, influence and make formal presentations Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results driven, team-oriented environment Maintain confidentiality Make independent decisions Demonstrate excellent organizational skills Handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines Travel up to 50%-60% (dependent on business needs and fluctuation) Qualifications/Requirements Minimum Bachelor Degree (BS in Occupational Health & Safety or ASP/CSP is a plus) Three Five years' experience managing and implementing EHS programs Minimum of Three years of direct supervisory experience Ability to manage multi-locations and EHS programs and people Knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations Excellent oral and written communications, including speaking/presenting before large audiences.
