The Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team This is an exciting, new group designed to help PepsiCo realize its next phase of growth to sustain 5%+ growth forever by helping PepsiCo become more consumer-centric and bring the direct-to-consumer approach to the forefront within PepsiCo. The groups charter is to create value through current and next generation platforms (enabled by Web 2.0/3.0/Metaverse) and sits within the global Strategy and Transformation team. These platforms will deliver meaningful consumer experiences through direct consumer engagement and activation in a connected direct-to-consumer network, which will operate by connecting resources across PepsiCo, leveraging external/industry knowledge and expertise, and building partnerships to create unique, advantaged platforms for PepsiCo. The objective of this group is to grow consumer lifetime value (CLV) across the entire portfolio through direct consumer engagement to build 1:1 consumer relationships via differentiated consumer value exchange/value propositions through the deployment of a direct-to-consumer network enabled by direct-to-consumer digital products powered by an intelligent consumer data platform building the necessary capabilities and culture to evolve from product and costumer centricity to also becoming consumer centric The group is responsible for defining, designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure, which encompasses the entire network architecture, as well as identifying meaningful territories to create valued consumer experiences, creating compelling direct-to-consumer engagement and activation models that are designed for direct-to-consumer ecosystems of the future, such as next-gen online and emerging virtual/augmented reality. The group will work closely with partners both internally and externally to build the new capabilities required for us to operate effectively and win in the direct-to-consumer environment. We will explore potential synergies with new concepts and technologies like advanced mobile commerce platforms, NFTs (digital content), tokens (cryptocurrency), virtual communities, virtual co-creation/invention models, AI, omni-channel supply chain capabilities, etc. The group will build new direct-to-consumer business as well as connect our existing D2C business through building common platforms for areas like capturing and enriching consumer data to expand consumer lifetime value by providing more comprehensive, valuable insights, and building necessary direct-to-consumer value chain components and tools. The group will also become a central place for the D2C organization across the enterprise to connect and create an active community based on learning and knowledge sharing, generating new ideas (crowd sourcing), and improving existing efforts. Responsibilities Execute Web3 initiatives, breakthroughs and opportunities estabilishing PEP as a leader in this space Execute and own 1-2 initial pilot /proof of concepts spanning across critical business opportunities for PepsiCo and ensure awareness and consultary support on future efforts tracking to KPIs and developing thoughtful post-campaign assessments Initial pilots scoped between $100-$800K Lead the on-going and day-to-day project management of specific geographical/sector based initiative including relationship with Vayner3 and additional agency and partner resources Future on-going efforts predicted to provide upwards of $10MM+ in incremental revenue annually Collaborate with Director, Sr Director, and V3 and EY on Global Web3 playbook development, internal education and strategic support Team accountabiles Work in a highly collaborative & cross-functional environment, including NA/Global counterparts on commercial and communication initiatives. Manage and influence marketing leads, legal, IT, and PR to remove obstacles for PEP brands Support building/sharing out monthly/quarterly learnings with STL (Global CMOs, Insights and S&T LTs ) Ensure NDA and SOWs are in place and is accessible to key constitutes Amplify team achievements by submissions to internal PEP/ external awards (BAM, Bevvies, Digiday, Smarties, ANA, Genious, etc.) Qualifications 5+ years in a marketing role, 2+ years in CPG company preferred Extensive digital experience Preferably understanding of Web 3.0/metaverse, changes to consumer landscape and journey 3+ years extensive digital experience (understanding of workings with social platforms + data requirements) Disruptive thinker and innovator.
