Working with a dynamic team of supply chain experts, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing mid-to long-term supply chain strategies and networks through a range of activities. Your breadth of supply chain experience will be leveraged for increasing effectiveness of supply chain initiatives through monitoring key performance indicators and coordinating cross-functional work teams to improve the performance of processes through continuous improvement initiatives.

The Network Planner works at the above-site Network Planning level for the Hospital Business Unit - Sterile Injectables and has responsibility for the development and issuance of a detailed monthly master production plan/schedule of key plant-specific Global Brands. This is accomplished by collaborating with Site/Commercial Operations and Demand Planning teams to determine monthly forecasted production volumes which maximize customer service and satisfy the business plan requirements, while optimizing working capital levels. A thorough understanding of plant/resource capacity, product cycle time, forecast variance and schedule adherence is needed to ensure the production plan and/or inventory levels enable the best supply outcomes for our patients. The Network Planner will also interface with global market demand planners confirming supply dates and other customer service enabling functions. This individual must utilize SAP/APO and numerous legacy systems to extract and compile relevant plant planning and reporting information


+ Demand Change Analysis: Monitor month-on-month demand changes over a rolling 3-12 month horizon.

+ Demand Validation: Liaise with markets and FG sites to interrogate and validate demand changes; ID root causes; Ensure system requirements up to date.

+ New Products / Product change: Incorporate demand for new products changes into the plan.

+ Demand issue identification: Use cross-site call forum to flag demand signal issues; Establish root-cause (MD vs. process).

+ Demand issue resolution: Work with network stakeholders to resolve demand signal issues; Track adherence.

+ Capacity Balancing: Collaborate with Site Planning Team to resolve asset balancing trade-offs ensuring sufficient supply performance; Publish site Plan of Record.

+ RCCP & Network capacity review: Prepare rough cut capacity projections for assigned resources; aggregate capacity constrained and balanced Plan of Record for network review of capacity issues.

+ Supply Alert Mgmt: Review alerts (exceeding threshold); ID proposed changes; Share urgent issues with Site Planner.

+ Supply Issue Management: ID bulk/API supply issues and proposed plan changes; Write system notes; Communicate urgent issues.

+ Site/above site Planning Meeting: Conduct weekly meeting with Site Planner to discuss priorities and to monitor / control schedule break-ins.

+ Supply prioritization: Review high-level supply requirements across full PP/DS horizon; Prioritize orders based on market inventory position, SKU segmentation, and site/above site production strategy.

+ Allocation planning: Develop a bulk allocation plan with BSL guidance and handover to Site Planner (in constrained supply scenarios).

+ Supply governance: Participate in weekly supply governance calls to troubleshoot low stock issues and balance cost vs. supply trade-offs.

+ Plan of Record: On a monthly basis develop/update manufacturing site monthly and annual production volume plan of record. Review month to month changes with site Leadership, Finance and Supply Chain.

+ SAP APO System maintenance: Review / update system parameters; Review master data workflow; work with master data team to define and set system parameters in system as required.

+ Bulk/API inventory control: Track, review and communicate bulk/API inventory vs. target MoH.

+ Customer Service Lead for your set of items, provide PO confirmation and supply updates to global market demand planners as needed.


+ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business

+ 5+ years' relevant supply chain/logistics planning experience

+ Relevant experience in Supply and Logistics management and concepts, ideally in pharmaceutical industry or where customer requirements are aligned with sales, marketing and finance

+ Fluent in written and verbal English

+ Excellent communication and presentation skills

+ Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications with advanced strengths in Excel and PowerPoint

+ Advanced SAP/APO experience


+ Master's degree

+ Relevant experience within Pharmaceutical Industry and/or Sterile Injectables Manufacturing

+ APICS certification
