Responsible for the design and operations of several small networks. The client environment is very dynamic and requires a breadth of IT knowledge rather than deep knowledge in a specific area. The candidate will work independently to test, evaluate, configure, and maintain new client network tools. The candidate will work with engineering teams to specify and configure new hardware/software IT procurements and installations. The candidate is knowledgeable about many types of operating systems and technologies.

Typical job responsibilities include:

Provide security design guidance both to the customer and to developers. Provide security review of developer CDRLs as requested.

Maintain the enterprise ATD and ATO triage packages and document ATD and ATO decisions

Maintain a centralized role-based account management system for all development and operational users of the enterprise and maintaining a user authentication capability to control access.

Implement and monitor continuous real-time logging for all events arising from all connected components

Ensure that Nessus scanning software is available and maintain Nessus scanning schedules so that that sites are stimulated to perform scans on a regular basis. Assist sites and developers with performing scans and review their scans. Maintain an archive of scan results for trending and analysis purposes. Assist sites in building POA&Ms to correct deficiencies.

Research and manage software patches. Maintain an on-line repository of approved software patches and assist sites/developers with patching

Ensure that the enterprise has an active and effective virus scanning and anti-virus program

Provide technical guidance for the requirements, design, development and operations life cycle to ensure that systems meet ISSM encryption requirements


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology or related field preferred

Requires 12-15 years with BS/BA or 10-13 years with MS/MA.

Experience with and/or knowledge of:

VMWARE esxi 6.7

Solarwinds Orion

Cisco troubleshooting (OSPF, VPN, etc)

Horizon Configuration/Administration

WYSE Configuration/Administration

McAfee ePO

Desired experience with and/or knowledge of:

Windows 10 Administration

Active Directory

Microsoft DNS

Microsoft Certificate Authority

ICD Compliance/Policy Experience

Solarwinds SEM/LEM

Cisco VoIP Phones

Cisco Call Manager Express

Tenable Nessus
