Network Engineer Senior Technical Specialist

Qualifications - Demonstrated expertise in WAN and Campus Area Networks (CAN) networking protocols and concepts; how network traffic is impacted as it moves between different systems
- Demonstrated ability to build/deploy global networks and communicate effectively across organizational boundaries
- Demonstratedexpertise with networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, RPC, SNMP, DNS, VPC/VPN, etc.) and proficiency with network traffic analysis tools
- Demonstrated understanding of USG network/systems capabilities, best practices, and policies/procedures--including cloud
- Ability toillustrate complex technical issues clearly and accurately forconsumption by both technical and non-technical audiences--e.g., Network Architectures, drawings, and leading whiteboard technical discussions
- Complex problem-solving--identifying complex programs and reviewing related information to develop/evaluate options and implement solutions
- Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience successfully working in a dynamic,challenging and fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Network Engineering/Security or related technical discipline
Responsibilities - Assess existing Sponsor and partner/customer network segments as needed to assess interoperability potential and opportunities for capacity expansion and performance improvements.
- Work with the Architecture Lead to identify, test, and implement technical solutions to close capability gaps.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems as partners/customers interface and interact with USG network/system capabilities.
- Conduct system performance analysis, requirements engineering/management, testing and evaluation, and other necessary disciplines for successful system development, design, implementation, and decommission.
- Provide analysis, design, development, deployment, and lifecycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications, and ensure all aspects of a project or system are properly evaluated and integrated into the end capability.
