AT&T is looking for a network architect aimed to perform advanced assessments and recommendations to improve operational performance of a service provider global network supporting a U.S. Government contract. This leader will be instrumental in working closely with the operations community to address critical pain points and deliver solutions that address their challenges. You will be a member of a team of Sr. Engineers, Developers and Scientists that utilize a NetDevOps methodology that utilizes agile concepts to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Architect solutions for current and evolving enterprise and carrier-class networking platforms
  • Leverage DevOps and Agile methodologies and processes to orchestrate change across various complex software development, scripting automations, integration testing, validation testing, sustainment, and deployment tasks in a blended platform environment
  • Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated projects.
  • Perform analysis of alternatives and related research efforts on hardware and software design and implementation options for enterprise networks.
  • Articulate in detail, technical solutions to complex problems and gain support and endorsement across multiple organizations.
Required Clearance:
Active secret with ability to obtain TS (#secret) (#topsecret)

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper configuration, fault analysis and resolution, and design covering Cisco IOS XR/XE, NX-OS (ASLAN), and JUNOS.
  • Familiarity with routing protocols used in enterprise IP networks such as BGP, ISIS or OSPF.
  • Familiarity with testing and integration devices within carrier-class IP network management tools (e.g. IBM Tivoli Netcool, CA PM, Cisco Prime, Blue Planet, Northstar, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ports and protocols, traffic analysis, packet decoding, data forensics, and translating this data into actionable plans or briefs for stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with analyzing VLAN, routing, MPLS VPN, IPSec L2 and L3 VPN architectures on IP network and transport devices.
  • Familiarity with current LSP, RSVP-TE, QOS/COS, VPWS, VPLS, YANG, NETCONF, RESTCONF, etc. and north/southbound integrations and automations.
  • A motivated self-starting personality, able to work independently while maintaining patience with constant interruptions and multiple requests.
  • Strong speaking, listening, and writing skills are critical for presentations to varied audiences in terms that non-technical leadership can understand.
  • A passion to automate everything.
Education and Certifications:
  • Compliant with DoD 8570 IT Level I baseline certification or higher.
  • Masters degree from an accredited college with 3 years of professional experience, or bachelors degree (Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Telecommunications, or Information Systems) from an accredited college with 5 years of professional experience, or 10 years related experience in DoD / Service Provider Networks.
  • CCIE-SP/JNCIE-SP or equivalent knowledge highly desirable.
