Perspecta is supporting the Federal Protective Service agency of the Department of Homeland Security. We are supporting law enforcement personnel in their mission to keep federal employees and civilians safe and secure.

We are seekinga mid-levelData Architect to maintain the FPS systems databases and applications working with the Project Managers, Systems Engineers and Application Developers. They will provide data architect subject matter expertise to troubleshooting, issue resolution, future planning and day-to-day operations. They support system upgrades and patching to ensure FPS systems remain operational at the highest security posture possible.

The Data Architect updates the FPS system databases with REXUX information to ensure the databases provide the most accurate information available. The Data Architect works with the Project Managers and Systems Engineers to implement approved operating system and services upgrades and supports server patching as necessary to ensure the system remain secure. The Data Architect writes CONOPS and reviews processes to help ensure FPS systems can maintain their ATO.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform upgrades of the database servers and Microsoft SQL server in all four Mega Centers to maintain or improve system security
  • Monitor the database processes/jobs to make sure backups are properly performed
  • Troubleshoot DOL related trouble reports and find solutions
  • Update the EIS database using GSA building information sent from the REXUS system
  • Update the EIS database using HR personnel data sent from human capital
  • Resolve user account related issues coming from Tier III support
  • Monitor the database processes/jobs to make sure backups are properly performed
  • Update the EIS system with additional documents requested by the users
  • Support information security related audits, discussions, reviews, and provide the necessary artifacts to make sure each application maintains its ATO
  • Participate in meetings and provide technical subject matter expertise
  • Support Application patching to keep the system up to date with current OS releases and other security updates
  • Update the FPSDS database using GSA building information sent from the REXUS system
  • Generate the MIST feed using the GSA REXUS building information input and EIS information
  • Generate TAMS HR personnel data feed from EIS and HR personnel feed
  • Update the WebRMS database using GSA building information sent from the REXUS system
  • Execute the CRMA update and the CRMA commit processes



  • Associates degree and a minimum of 5 years experience, a BS/BA in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience performing Data or Database Architecture
  • Experience performing upgrades of the database servers and Microsoft SQL servers
  • Experience performing application patching to keep the system up to date with current OS releases and other security updates
  • Experience writing CONOPS and reviewing processes to help ensure FPS systems can maintain their ATO is desired.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles.
  • US Citizenship required and eligibility to obtain DHS Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Current DHS EOD is preferred.
