The Client Strategies Group (CSG) at Edward Jones is focused on developing a profound understanding of prospective and current clients needs, in order to create an unparalleled experience. Leveraging these critical insights, we implement tailored solutions and enhance our products in ways that enable clients to achieve their financial goals.

From branding and communication to the actual stocks, bonds and mutual funds offered, your work will have a significant impact not only within the CSG division but firm-wide. As a Marketing Data Analyst II, you'll have the opportunity to bring to life Client Insight that supports defining and enabling the future state Edward Jones Client Experience. This position plays a critical role in assessing the impact and outcomes from omni-channel marketing programs that are designed to attract new clients to Edward Jones and deliver an unparalleled experience to the firm's 7 million clients.

You'll champion the activation of client-centric data and insights with colleagues across Marketing and our agencies to improve the effectiveness of our corporate marketing campaigns, identify opportunities to enhance the client relationship journey, and measure our financial advisors' local marketing programs. As part of a growing team, you'll help build the foundation that progresses Marketing's analytic capabilities forward while delivering greater understanding of clients' interactions, perceptions and outcomes as they engage with our brand and branch teams throughout their journey.

*Key Areas of Focus*

* Own and lead analyses using data, insights and measurement to influence and support targeted, local and national marketing strategies and align with overall business goals.
* Support the development of innovative solutions to measure marketing performance, such as unified attribution, big data, MarTech advancements
* Collaborate with stakeholders in Branch Marketing and Product teams to define, operationalize and optimize KPI's and analytics, leading to more efficient spend and better client experiences
* Monitor competitive landscape and industry standards to rapidly integrate best practices in performance marketing measurement.

*Analysis & Insights Development *
* Consult with Marketing stakeholders to understand their business objectives and KPIs
* Translate stakeholder needs into analytic roadmaps, deliverables, technical requirements, data models and project plans with an agile mindset
* Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to answer business questions and inform decision-making for marketing campaigns, product development, experience design
* Transform data into actionable insights and make recommendations for improving and optimizing marketing tactics and strategies toward stated goals
* Partner across the firm's insight network to assess test and learns, pilots, targeted programs and large-scale campaigns and product launches
* Design, develop and deliver custom management-level reports to visualize results, communicate trends and demonstrate progress toward business outcomes
* Develop and manage business relationships with marketing strategists, product owners, channel managers, content strategists and Marketing and Technology leaders
* Lead the development and ongoing monitoring of campaign benchmarks, goals and KPIs with project teams to drive accountability for specific, measurable results
* Lead large-scale analytics projects and provide peer review for junior analysts
* Proactively identify new business, marketing or efficiency opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions with support from leader

*Data, Tools & Management *
* Extract and analyze data from structured and unstructured databases or marketing channels for marketing research, user identification, campaign targeting and optimization and performance reporting using various technologies and languages
* Lead IT enhancements related to data infrastructure, including data requirements, functional requirements, design, testing, implementation and verification
* Provide consultation and data requirements for new channels, campaigns, vendors, agencies and internal applications in alignment with marketing's data governance standards
* Proactively identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, technology or methodology
* Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise to marketing stakeholders

* Bachelor's degree in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, statistics, economics, data science, analytics, marketing, computer science (or relevant work experience), MBA preferred
* *5+ years of experience with marketing and customer analytics*
* Experience working in financial services a plus

*Technical Skills*
* Experience with analysis, measurement, reporting, benchmarking and goal setting for marketing channels and omni-channel campaigns, such as website, mobile app, display advertising, paid search, SEO, direct marketing, social media, email, native advertising, video
* Experience with A/B and multivariate testing and improving performance through optimizations
* Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas, tables, charts, pivot tables, macros, VBA
* Experience defining data models and querying databases using SQL Developer, Hue or similar
* Experience with web analytics and optimization tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize, Contentsquare
* Experience with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Datorama, Google Data Studio
* Experience with CRMs and identity graphs

*Knowledge & Abilities*
* Ability to clearly communicate complex analytical information to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
* Ability to work effectively in a complex and maturing data environment
* Ability to manage multiple projects with varying scope and deadlines
* Energetic, self-motivated and proactive with high degree of creative problem solving and systems thinking
* Organized and detail oriented
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Works effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
