Job Description

Provide HRIS and administrative support for the Cedar Rapids Quaker Oats facility. The Manufacturing Coordinator role will partner with and support a group of employees in a designated business unit. This is a temporary role.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Responsible for completing payroll for assigned department. Focus on accuracy and timeliness on all payroll transactions.
  2. Record labor-hours and labor cost statistics for business unit operations to compile straight time, over-time and labor cross charges to be forwarded to production accounting.
  3. Prepare labor cost analysis and efficiency reports for management.
  4. Make daily absentee checks using the Plant attendance system to record absenteeism and vacations in an efficient and accurate manner.
  5. Answer employee questions on problems dealing with timecards, pay periods or daily schedules.
  6. Understand, and apply business unit overtime policy. Support overtime and scheduling grievances.
  7. Organize and post weekly department schedules.
  8. Post, process and track weekly job postings, employee change notices and training activity.
  9. Assure that all office supplies, including forms, pencils, Xerox supplies, etc., are available in the department.
  10. Utilize project management skills to complete various projects.


  • A high school diploma is a minimum requirement of this position.
  • Must have a good knowledge of payroll and labor cost tracking.
  • PC: - Kronos System, Microsoft Office, software Knowledge, Champs
  • Experience in a Union environment is preferred
