**ROLE SUMMARY**

Site Lead for transportation and trade compliance. Manages all aspects of Military and Commercial shipments from order Entry through transportation coordination, legal, and trade compliance to support final product shipments. Site POC for import/export transactions/compliance. Project Manager supporting Logistic team objectives.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

Product Management:



+ Prepare written procedures and related documents to enable efficiency and compliance while mitigating risks

+ Entry of customer orders and change orders into Meridian Medical ERP system to include domestic, international, and government orders for finished product, components, and samples.

+ Update pricing Master Data for products as negotiated annually.

+ Calculation of remaining shelf life for products at the time of shipment.

+ Confirm correct unit pricing for products as reflected on invoices.

+ Coordination of Department of Defense orders in Prism, entry of reports in iRAPT to support QA release of ATNAA lots to the FDA for approval.

+ Routing of DD250 for government orders.

+ Procure and monitor inventory of shipping containers and temperature monitoring devices for shipments of products and maintain customer owned inventory of shipping supplies.

+ Obtain necessary documents for shipping including CoA, CoC, Customs, Purchase Orders, Letters of Authorization, etc.

+ Distribute copies of signed shipping documents to the appropriate parties for all international shipments of EpiPen.



Import/Export Compliance:



+ Manage import and export declarations

+ Overseeing and managing daily import activities and record keeping requirements.

+ Ensures compliance with applicable DEA, EAR, EPA, FDA, USDA, Customs & Border protection, etc. regulations concerning all import activities conducted

+ Identify compliance risks and assist efforts to improve compliance to mitigate risks associated with imports

+ Prepares associated written procedures, process flows, and forms necessary to ensure efficiency and compliance associated with importation.

+ Provides training for colleagues in regards to import activities/processes (forms to complete, documentation required, etc.)

+ Monitor and audit the import activities of Customs Brokers that MMT uses.

+ Manage Customer Broker and/or Freight Forwarder for the clearance and release of goods in CBP custody.

+ Oversees the vetting process for new customs brokers and freight forwarders

+ Oversee and manage Power of Attorney and Continuous Bond requirements and renewals provided to customs brokers and freight forwarders.

+ Responds to CF-28 (Customs Notice of Action) inquiries and request from US Dept. of Census regarding AES issues.

+ Work with internal GTC, DEA, EPA and FDA regulatory affairs groups to ensure all shipments are in compliance with Import requirements

+ Handle import of purchased materials by coordinating with end user, procurement, overseas suppliers, and freight vendors.

+ Work with Pfizer GTC group for HTS/Schedule B determination and validation.

+ Coordination of export activities as required.

+ Oversight of customs brokers/freight forwarders and administrator of Powers of Attorney and Continuous Bond requirements and renewals as necessary.

+ Collaborate with internal and external regulatory agencies including GTC to ensure all shipments are in compliance with export requirements.

+ Comply with Global Trade Controls including Free Trade Agreement.



Logistics Project Management:



+ Project Management for the Logistics team as identified to support process efficiencies.

+ Guides team in establishing goals and objectives of projects.

+ Organization of project activities to include development of project timelines, selection of team members, conducting of regular team meetings, and providing updates to management.



**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**



+ BA in Business, Supply Chain or related field

+ 10 years' experience in Logistics/Supply chain

+ Experienced working knowledge of import/export regulations including Department of Commerce, FDA, and DEA.

+ Experienced in managing Domestic DOT and Hazmat shipments.



**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Experienced in creating and managing diverse process centric teams across multiple disciplines

+ Pharmaceutical experience desired but not required



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities include ability to adjust focus.



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Must have the ability to multi-task across multiple competing priorities and requirements. Note that these activities may not be time bound to core hours at the site.

Must have the ability to manage time effectively to meet strict performance deadlines.

Must be able to work beyond the hours typically defined as a "regular" workday, which may or may not include weekends and holidays.
