Talent Development Manager

The Talent Development team at Xandr leads our approach to developing and growing an engaged and talented workforce. We lead on Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Learning & Development with a focus on D&I across all of these components. Xandr formed in August 2019 following Appnexus’s acquisition by AT&T and the last 18 months have largely been spent on integration and org design work. Our team now have the mandate to rethink - and in some cases introduce - our process and philosophy across the area’s of Talent Development, with a focus on agility, innovation and driving a high performance culture with engaged employee’s who are constantly growing in their careers.

This new role will support the Senior Director, T&D and Senior Manager, L&D as we evaluate and deliver Talent Development practices and build and introduce Learning & Development programs across the organization, with a focus on D&I learning. This role will require researching external best practices and innovations in this area and look at comparative firms and help make recommendations on our approach. They will also support the planning and execution of annual processes, including managing the project plans, creating tools and resources for all stakeholders, writing comms and ensuring appropriate training and support throughout.

This role requires a deep understanding and awareness of diversity and inclusion issues as well as the tactics and programmatic components that will serve to drive behavior and cultural change.


Learning & Development
* Support Senior Manager L&D in development, administration, co-ordination and delivery of broader Learning opportunities for all employee’s (talent development programs, diverse talent programs, manager capability, etc)
o Establish project plans, deliverables, and timelines for execution of activities and events across learning and development
o Source speakers, help build agenda’s and deliver content, and build evaluation methods
* Responsible for recognizing, creating and implementing plans to embed diversity and inclusion through learning across Xandr including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of Diversity and Inclusion training initiatives
* Provide active thought leadership on the D&I learning strategy, design and programming; consult on the design, development, and delivery of training solutions as appropriate
o Bring truly innovative, cutting edge approaches to D&I to Xandr with the ability to think outside the standard approach to D&I
o Leverage employee feedback to determine strengths, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement
* Act in an advisory and support capacity to the Employee Resource Group’s (ERG’s) on specific diversity and inclusion L&D issues. Create programs, training and values to support and address these issues
* Partner with Senior Manager L&D to develop bespoke talent programs to build diverse bench strength and leadership pipeline in line with D&I focus area’s and business needs
* Support Orientation program for new employee’s; input into content, focus on solutions to ensure new employee’s have a strong understanding of our approach to D&I and appropriate learning is provided from day one and beyond
* Research external best practice, D&I initiatives with key competitors and the industry; understand current trends and research around D&I in the workplace and build capability of HR, ERG and leaders on these areas
* Provide regular data reporting, sharing insights on the impact of D&I learning and development interventions and anticipated course corrections for a scaling organization.
* Develop relationships with key partners (Talent Acquisition, HRBP’s, Leaders etc) to ensure that D&I L&D programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes
o Collaborate with global leadership and HRBP’s to uncover region or business-specific D&I learning needs

Talent Development
* Support the development of the enterprise-wide strategy, tools and processes, implementation and execution of the talent management, performance management and employee engagement strategy
* Keep up-to-date on all T&D processes, apply this knowledge strategically and to build capability within the broader HR team on external trends and practices
* Partner with CSR & Employee Engagement team to ensure processes build on and reinforce the Xandr culture and reflect our EVP
* Apply a focus on D&I throughout each of the T&D processes and programs. Identify opportunities to positively influence the identification and development of diverse talent with measurable outcomes, e.g. diverse succession slates, more women in top positions etc
* Evaluate current performance management trends, innovations and competitor processes and help design a strategy suitable to Xandr’s needs that represents our performance management philosophy.

Minimum Experience And Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development or a related field
* 3-5 years of HR experience with a focus on D&I or Learning & Development, ideally in a global or tech / start up environment, including strategic analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and delivery of learning solutions
* Ability to define, scope, track and report metrics. Able to draw meaningful insights from data to create strategy, tell a narrative and operationalize solutions
* Prior experience in building and implementing diversity & inclusion initiatives with a focus on learning
* Project management skills with experience in managing a portfolio of high-profile projects. Ability to work and lead multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, environment
* Creativity and strong communication skills (research, writing, editing, presentation and speaking)
* Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior level executives and/or senior counsel and others across several functions
* Results-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions
* Creativity and agility to iterate quickly and test new concepts with ease; thrives in a fast past and innovative environment
* Excellent focus on the internal customer with experience presenting to and interacting with Senior Leaders – able to build strong relationships, manage difficult stakeholders and conflicting views
* Focus on delivery and excellence – ability to work on numerous projects with conflicting needs at any time and ensure strong communication and updates on project progress
* Capacity to use diagnostic tools, such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews to assess organization issues and develop recommendations
