Were seeking a *Manager, Software Engineering *to join our Cox Automotive team.

The *Manager, Software Engineering* will directly report to the Director, Software Engineering, and will be responsible for managing the digital analytics tagging solution and team that supports various Cox Automotive channels with a primary focus on Manheim.com.

This manager will be responsible for leading a team of individuals that create and maintain software that support our digital analytics tagging and reporting strategy and play a role in consulting, coaching, and engineering best practice leadership. The Manager will provide organizational leadership, being responsible for all the HR-related duties: hiring, performance reviews, issue/conflict resolution, career development, performance planning, etc. This individual will be responsible and accountable for the successful design, execution, and timely delivery of both functional requirements provided by the Product Owner as well as supporting the overall technology strategy of the Product Engineering team.

The Manager must maintain expert knowledge of internal and external systems and play a hands-on role with the team. The Manager is also responsible for researching, demonstrating, and providing guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends. Along with strong technical skills, the Manager must have a tenacious desire to learn and understand business principles, concepts, and strategy.

*Your Role:*

* All HR-related duties, including (but not limited to) hiring, performance reviews, recognition & rewards, issue/conflict resolution, career development, performance planning.

* Ownership and accountability to form, maintain, and share the vision of the products, including the establishment of consistent patterns and practices across those products.

* Work with Product Managers, Architecture, and other Engineering Leaders to develop and maintain product roadmaps defining overall product strategy, release plans showing how engineering will implement against that strategy, and status boards showing progress against plans

* Clearly and succinctly communicate the priorities and plans to the team

* Represent your team in strategy and planning meetings.

* Work with your team to plan, design, implement and operationalize new innovations and improvements to existing programs

* Work with your team to continually improve their processes and develop best practices for agile development that delivers value to our stakeholders.

* Respond quickly and effectively to production issues, taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.

* Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise

* Define and document process and strategy for the team regarding data collection, tagging, and audit capabilities.

* Share knowledge by effectively documenting plans, decisions, and task ownership.

* Other responsibilities as required to support the companys growth

* Understand the owned products within the Adobe Experience Platform specifically Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch Tag Management System.

Qualifications: *Minimum Skills & Experience:*

* Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field

* 5+ years of software engineering experience in Web or SaaS environments

* 3+ years of relevant work experience within the field of digital analytics working with standard click stream analysis tools: Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst/Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, CoreMetrics, NewRelic, etc.

* Aptitude to perform professionally in the following areas:

* Strong experience developing large-scale software systems

* Ability to speak on behalf of engineering teams in planning activities

* Self-motivated, directed and passionate about what you do

* Expert JavaScript, JSON, jQuery and Data Layer Objects skills. Analytics tagging and implementation experience is required.

* Strong experience with using a browsers Web Console and/or debugger to troubleshoot network calls

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* High integrity and desire to do the right thing
