**ROLE SUMMARY**



Site Reliability Engineering(SRE)is a set of principles and practices that seeks to take a software engineering approach to solving IT Operations problems. In the Command Center&Ops team, we seek to apply an SRE approach to managing infrastructure operations, with a focus on:



+ Ensuringservices are running smoothly: identifyingand regularly reviewingoperational health indicatorstoensuredelivery to definedservice levels.

+ Continuously analysingservice data to identify service improvement opportunities. Opportunities will be assessed on their potential to remove manual effort ('toil'), improve service reliability and enhance customer experience.

+ Developing, or partnering with other teams to develop automation that will remove toil from the environment, and deliver a more reliable, cost effective service to the company.



The development of a strong data foundation, be it for monitoring service health or identifying and evaluating automation opportunities will be crucialto making this SRE approach effective.



The SRE Data Developer will be part of an SREdevelopment team at our Greece hub location. The Data Developer will work in an agile fashion to develop data artefacts for use by our service leads,CommandCenterand other members of the development team. These artefacts will combine various data sources (ticket data, change records, asset information, environmental data) to provide real-time, actionable views on overall service health, keytrendsand improvement opportunities.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Produce actionable dataartefactsand visualizations that are intuitive,effectiveand insightful forSRE leads and the Command Center.

+ Integrateand analyze different types of relevant data to answerkey operationalquestions. Examples include: 'What is the health of the service?' and 'Where are our opportunities to improve the service?'

+ Follow Agile principles and practices as part of an Agile development team, focusing on rapid, iterative development and continuous delivery.

+ Partner with SRE Leads (Product Owners) and other stakeholders to develop and evaluate a backlog of data development items for delivery. Participate in backlog grooming activities.

+ Create prototypes,modelsand demonstrations to helpdrive predictive identification of service risks, allowing pre-emptive action by Command Center to avoid service outages.



**QUALIFICATIONS**



Minimum requirements:



+ Bachelors' degreein relevant disciplineor equivalent experience.

+ Programming experience with one or more analytics tool (Python, SAS, R or SQL)

+ Experience in developing views and dashboards ina data visualization tool (e.g.Tableau)



Preferred requirements:



+ Demonstrated capabilities in analysing heterogeneous datasets; Ability to identify trends, identify outliers and find patterns

+ Machine Learning and predictive modelling skills: Ability to build and manage models to predict future outcomes.

+ Strongknowledge ofand experience in the applicationofAgileprinciples,mindsetsand methodologies.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
