What Youll Do

In Public Sector we are working with our customers to digitize the country, city or village. Being a part of this strategic exercise gives you a purpose and thats makes working in the public sector unique.

Frame-contracts are essential for our business. We are holding them in all areas of our business, in large organisations in the federal environment but also on the local-government layer. You will bring our business with these frame-contracts into a new level. We need visibility of these contracts in terms of duration, volume, utilization etc. You will lead (at least virtually) a team of project manager in order to match our legal obligations of these contracts. You will develop a strategy how can leverage these contracts and make sure that our customers are able to participate out of these contracts.

You will report directly to the Public Sales Director in Germany as this role is new but critical to the success of Public-Sector. This key leadership role is going to continue the development of our sales delivery model, improve and evolve the capabilities of our sales organization.

Who Youll Work With

You will be expected to bring our frame-contract business into a new level by creating visibility, understand the business procedures and create a strategy going forward. Implementing new Cisco go to marked strategies (e.g. Software and subscription) will be one of the key success factors for future frame contracts.

This is a high-visible role with interaction with multiple senior partner. Internal (Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations), Partners and procurement organisations of our Customers.

General responsibilities include:

  • create visibility of all Frame-contracts in Public Sector
  • develop business models to support different flavours of contracts
  • profound understanding of procurement procedures in public sector
  • creating network of subject matter experts for all Business Units
  • support sales teams on frame contract strategies, pricing models and public tenders
  • stakeholder management internally and externally
  • strong communications/negotiation skills
  • people management skills

Who You Are

You should have:

  • 5-10 years of business experience in/with Cisco.
  • Strong analytical and process capabilities
  • Knowledge about public procurement law and strategy experience
  • Strong ability to build and deepen meaningful relationships internally and externally
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate
  • Curious enough to develop and create new ways of business.
  • Strong executive presence and political savvy
  • understanding cisco strategy, convert this into strategy and incorporate this into the frame-contracts framework
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing large sales teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.
  • Proven ability to build and lead in a matrix-managed team culture.

Finally, this executive should have a level of business maturity, flexibility and the instincts to adapt to a high-energy, dynamic environment characterized by high growth expectations and a collaborative culture.
