This position is responsible for being a thought leader in pricing and should be seen by merchants as a strategic partner in this area. The Manager will advise merchants on available pricing levers to drive category performance and designing and execute strategic priorities. The Manager will support corporate level pricing initiatives throughout the organization. The Manager should be an advocate for implementing pricing best practices across the portfolio of categories and provide guidance and support to Senior Analysts and Contractors as part of the team.\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cbr /\u003E 60%-Develop relationships with Merchants and deep understandings of business dynamics.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr /\u003E Work in collaboration with Merchants to determine their goals and objectives, conduct standard and ad hoc analysis to identify key drivers of performance, recommend pricing decisions that will improve their performance and develop financial plans that reflect pricing changes.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr /\u003E Typical analysis will include: (a) marketplace and macroeconomic trends impacting the business including competitive assessment, (b) customer segmentation and responsiveness (c) transaction and basket analysis and insights, (d) localization of pricing, (e) promotional effectiveness, (f) consumer psychology.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr /\u003E Develop executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including pricing performance across the organization, strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact.\u0026nbsp;\u003Cbr /\u003E Report out to all levels of management including senior leadership of the department.
