The Retirement Finance organization is responsible for the financial operations of the various businesses that make up Prudential Retirement. Within Finance, the Institutional Investment Products (IIP) Planning & Analysis team is primarily responsible for financial modeling, forecasting and development of insightful and actionable analytics for the businesses within IIP.

  

 The position is based in Newark, NJ.

  

  Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Forecasting multi-year financial results on a GAAP, Statutory, and Capital basis for the IIP business and producing insightful analytics for the IIP business.
  • Development and support of analytics and highlighting pertinent trends related to Actual results.

  • Develop presentations for business and corporate leaders focusing on the results of the multi-year projections and Actual results, highlighting pertinent trends and key business drivers.

  • Develop enhancements and efficiencies to key processes and workflows related to GAAP, Statutory and Required Capital.

  • Understanding key business drivers and their impact to the forecast process.

  • Support the scoping, implementation, and testing of new enterprise forecasting models related to GAAP, Statutory, and Capital.

  • Supporting product line income and capital allocations for IIP product lines.

  • Partner with internal business and corporate areas including but not limited to actuarial, pricing, sales, Corporate Reporting, GAAP & STAT reporting and Treasurers.

  • Managing Staff

 



Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • CPA, MBA or CFA a plus

  • 6 - 8 years of Finance/Quantitative analytical related experience, preferably on the Planning and Analysis side

  • Familiarity with GAAP Accounting.

  • Knowledge of Statutory Accounting and capital calculations and reporting.

  • Strong demonstrated research and analytical skills with an attention to detail

  • Strong Excel skills, with demonstrated ability to navigate and analyze complex and large data sets

  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong ability to take initiative and to look for and implement efficiencies

  • Controls oriented mindset

  • Collaborative and team-oriented work style; ability to work independently to drive results while building relationships throughout the business
