Manager Strategy, Planning & Operations.

Services sales growth is critical to the strategic direction of Cisco. The US Commercial Services business is on track to becoming a $2B organization and it is imperative that we plan for the future and execute for today. We are seeking a Strategy & Planning / Operations leader that will facilitate the next step in our evolution and ensure that we are strategically aligned for customer and partner success.

The Manager Strategy & Planning will be responsible for formulation of long-term strategic priorities and plans, analysis and recommendation related to market and sales trends, expansion opportunities, competitive dynamics, and internal business performance improvement.

In this role, you will work on highly complex problems, gain insight into the strategic issues which are forefront in the minds of the executive leadership team, exposure to senior-level decision making and the opportunity to help shape Cisco's Services strategy.

To accomplish this, the Manager Strategy & Planning will work closely with a cross-functional team across sales, strategy & planning, finance, enablement, channels and marketing.


  • Be a trusted business partner and advocate to the US Commercial Services Executive Leader and direct staff
  • Develop and iterate on strategic Services go-to-market plans

Deeply understand the Services sales needs by interfacing with the front-line sellers up to the Services Leadership Team.

  • Analyze market dynamics and trends, understanding our position relative to other players within the ecosystem.
  • Be deeply involved in the Fiscal Strategic planning at the US Commercial theater and US Commercial Services levels.
  • Drive upstream Long-Range Planning and quarterly strategic reviews
  • Lead downstream messaging of strategic priorities
  • Interface with the Americas Services and US Commercial S&P teams to ensure alignment to the greater strategy
  • Coordinate business critical operations including completion of YEP deliverables
  • Create Advanced Services enable plans for field, CSM's and Partners
  • Work with Channels and Distribution Partners on GTM plans and activities
  • Align with Marketing to drive demand generation plans and activities
  • Take a proactive approach to the business, ensuring proper communications and change management


  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Strategy, Operations and/or Services Sales Leadership
  • Strong understanding of the Services business.
  • Must demonstrate strategic thinking, market analysis and creative thought leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct line of control
  • Deals well with ambiguity within a fast paced sales environment
  • Handles highly confidential, business sensitive items with professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent critical and analytic thinking skills to make good decisions
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives
