What you'll do

You will be responsible for leading a team of Security Specialists within the Security Software Renewals. Security Software Renewals is a key factor in Ciscos success as we continue drive toward annuity software subscription and re-occurring revenue offers. Security Software Renewals is the largest software renewal business within Ciscos Customer Experience (CX) portfolio. These teams of renewal specialists are driving the CX Renewals motion with the customer and managing a team of Cisco resources for all renewal activities from opportunity identification to negation to close. You will build direct relationships with global security software sales, Cisco account managers, Cisco channel partners, end customers, and other cross functional leaders. You will lead all aspects of the renewals business including employee development, forecasting, sales finance, Technology and solution training, in-depth sales migration campaigns, Strategy and Planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build, lead and coach a high-performing team of Renewals Specialists
  • Facilitate, own, and lead the sales forecasting process in which your sales finance staff will create on a weekly basis, ensuring consistent and accurate forecasting across all roles. Coach individuals where vital to develop forecasting performance
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to handle the sales funnel from a weekly, monthly and quarterly perspective, ensuring integrity of the funnel and associated opportunities, as well as to ensure sales leads are run and actioned on in a timely and efficient manner
  • Build customer and partner relationships, and work with cross functional teams.
  • Develop and execute Opex management of a multi-million dollar budget for resources, compensation, contingent work force as well as discretionary spending.
  • Establish strong relationships with diverse internal partners including Field Sales Directors & Managers, Account Managers, Security Sales, Marketing, Partner Org, Customer Success, Operations and Sales finance as well as various other functional teams
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of new campaigns, programs and tools for our renewals motions
  • Work with management to deliver on global projects and initiatives, effective team execution on new programs, and campaigns and promotions

Who you are

Knowledge and experience:

  • BS/BA (or equivalent) plus 7+ years related sales experience with 2+ years direct management of a direct and/or virtual teams.
  • You have experience delivering excellent results against pre-defined goals and targets
  • Understanding of Ciscos Field Sales, Product Specialist Sales and Partner Sales organizations and Cisco Security Portfolio of Offers.
  • Experience in sales and/or sales management within the United State to local, regional, national and global multi-national enterprise customers.
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and development of direct and/or teams
  • Excellent knowledge of sales processes, organizational structures, management practices and resources development.
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and the affinity for building new relationships
  • A high degree of creative ability, analytical and business skills and independent judgment
  • A proven understanding of Cisco and general IT Service renewals would be preferred, as well as a wide appreciation of the IT market landscape
