Primary Responsibilities:

""
    ""
  • Prepare annual Assessment Plan and review with Senior Leadership
  • ""
  • Monitor state market conduct examination reports and industry news to identify potential areas that may be of concern to the Insurance Solutions products
  • ""
  • Continue to proactively identify any potential compliance risks and collaborate with business departments to mitigate the risks
  • ""
  • Demonstrate on-going review with Compliance Oversight Committee and key business unit leaders to assess current risk priority status and adjust assessment plan as necessary
  • ""
  • Conduct Compliance Assessments of Insurance Solutions business segments, including regulatory research, preparation of necessary tools to perform assessment, gather information, analyze data and findings, prepare Executive Summary for Legal and Sr. Leadership, create corrective action plan, implement, and monitor to completion
  • ""
  • Continue to build stronger relationships with our internal and external business partners
  • ""
  • Oversee and manage state Market Conduct Examination(s) for Insurance Solutions, including working with state auditors, gathering information, and delivering high quality documents, preparation of draft and final report response, implementation of corrective action plan and monitor to completion
  • ""
  • Continue to build and enhance a working relationship with UHG Regulatory Affairs Market Conduct Examination Team fostering teamwork when working together on state market conduct examinations
  • ""
  • Build relationship with state auditors
  • ""
  • Work with Corporate Compliance keeping them informed of Insurance Solutions state activity
  • ""
  • Foster teamwork creating an environment of trust and collaboration
  • ""
  • Work directly with Compliance Review staff as a team and one-on-one providing training and development through development planning, participating in UHG development programs and local training opportunities
  • ""
  • Continue to maintain and enhance sound working relationships and trust through collaboration with our Insurance Solutions business partners

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; graduate degree preferred
  • ""
  • 3+ years of experience working in a government, legal, healthcare, managed care, regulatory, privacy or compliance role
  • ""
  • 3+ years of experience simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • ""
  • Auditing experience
  • ""
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Horsham, PA and be willing to work in the office
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
