The CM Support Managers responsibilities include supporting both technical and client facing resources for the Optum Claims Manager system that leverages advanced clinical editing to review inpatient and outpatient charges prior to claim submission to third party payers to improve reimbursement rates, support provider compliance, and reduce operating expenses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide best in class support and deliver an incredible client experience. Ensure that we achieve that goal by working closely with clients to understand their needs, service requirements, issues and suggestions. A collaborative, client-centric attitude is specifically important to success in this role

  • Provide oversight and guidance to the technical support team to facilitate maximum performance and high service experiences
  • ""
  • Work closely with product development, client management and support departments to communicate customer issues, feedback and develop plans to implement changes, fixes, or improvements as identified
  • ""
  • Cultivate a positive culture and maintain high levels of employee engagement
  • ""
  • Work with the team to develop innovative ideas and creative solutions to complex business problems. Advocate for meaningful change in the areas that are most important for our clients and our team
  • ""
  • Enable consistent training for support staff to ensure product knowledge and technical expertise meets customer demands
  • ""
  • Support team members on development goals through scheduled one/one meetings, coaching, removing obstacles, building relationships, and increasing opportunities for open communication
  • ""
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and all levels of Optum leadership to advocate for the clients best interests while aligning to Optums organizational goals
  • ""
  • Identify and lead projects designed to enhance client experience and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS). Use the teams direct contact with clients to decipher what is most important to focus on for improvement
  • ""
  • Facilitate escalations, conduct technical calls, and provide backup to support staff as necessary while providing summary information to leadership allowing them to stay apprised of clients status
  • ""
  • Improve productivity by highlighting deficiencies and recommending change in tools, training, processes, reporting, and employee engagement

  • Collaborate with other managers to ensure operational consistency

  • Deliver and exceed on all team performance targets

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • ""
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role
  • ""
  • 2 + years of experience in a leadership role
  • ""
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • ""
  • Experience in reviewing and interpreting data, as well as identifying and resolving data issues
  • ""
  • Ability and willingness to complete a writing exercise on request (responding to hypothetical scenarios)
  • ""
  • Ability to create and present executive reporting artifacts
  • ""
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts, verbally and in writing to others, including clients
  • ""
  • Available to work daytime standard office hours and function as an on-call resource when needed
  • ""

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
