The Sr. Specialist Occupational Health and Safety will be responsible for managing programs to drive compliance, reduce/eliminate risk, support growth and protect Aramarks brand within our North American Food and Facilities operations.  In this role, he/she must act as the primary liaison with strategic partners in developing tools and training that support global standardization of safety.  He/She will develop/maintain Aramark training programs, manage key strategic safety partners, monitor partner performance, and support implementation of Aramark SAFE to achieve Target Zero no harm to people or the environment. 


Job Responsibilities :-

  • Responsible for development, deployment and maintenance all relevant safety training/education programs. Must have strong working knowledge and practical application of all safety and regulatory programs and safety, health, food safety laws affecting Aramark locations, processes, and products.
  • In partnership with 3rd party partners and T&OD, evaluate training needs, develop structured training and awareness strategies for safety and regulations and routinely assess effectiveness.
  • Lead and/or participate in departmental, global and/or cross-functional projects that contribute to enablement of Aramark SAFE standards or other improvement efforts, as required.
  • Advise and coordinate support for all high health and safety /risk matters and/or crisis/brand protection events and coordinate with appropriate functions (e.g., Legal, Operations, Claims, HR, etc.) to appropriately and effectively manage risk for the organization.
  • Provide field support for Aramark SAFE activities, if needed, during large scale events and large new account openings


  • Bachelors degree in science, engineering or related safety discipline
  • 7+ years of occupational safety experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial (minimum Quebec) and Federal Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, CSST legislation.
  • Strong proven problem solving, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent client relations, coaching/mentoring and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft software packages and database systems
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and have access to an automobile for business
  • Valid Passport and ability to support International events and/or operations if necessary.
  • CRSP designation (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) is an asset.
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.
