Job SummaryThe Manager, HR Systems & Service Centre is responsible for leading and managing activities to support the HRIS, Payroll System, Time and Attendance System and the HR service center/help desk. The incumbent plans and directs continual improvements to support organizational and HR objectives. They will lead and coach the HR specialists to ensure a high quality experience for end users of the HR systems & Service Center.

The position is covering for a Mat-leave (contract 14 months) and reports in to the Vice President of HR- Aramark Canada. The incumbent will lead a small team of HR Specialists to run the HR Service Centre across Canada.


Roles and Responsibilities


HR Systems

  • Develop, Update and implement standardized HR Policies and Processes across the organization.
  • Develop workflow processes to increase effectiveness of HR standards, policies, practices, process and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in HR standards, policies, practices, processes, workflow or systems. Define, build, test and execute enhancements.
  • Oversees the regular maintenance and improvement of HR Systems (including HRIS) ensuring updates and changes are properly implemented and communicated
  • Accountable for Data Integrity, ensures proper data integrity and audit controls.
  • Manage Time and attendance systems and HRIS and their connections to HR policies and processes through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Resolves escalated issues or concerns in relations to systems data. Identifies and resolves root causes to common user challenges
  • Lead special projects like- Payroll, HCMS
  • Provides Mentorship and guidance to other team members on HR System maintenance and the use and interpretation
  • Leads projects; sees projects through the full lifecycle and performs functions related to requirements gathering, configuration, testing/UAT and post production support
  • Accountable for access control
  • Accountable for making decisions on process changes in HRIS
  • Work with NA HR Centers of Excellence to understand best practices and application in Canada.

HR Service Center

  • Successful launch of HR Service Centre pilot for Central Canada.
  • Develop, update and maintain HR workflow processes.
  • Ensure delivery of high quality service within business service level agreements.
  • Build relationships with HR Business Partners to ensure business processes are supporting and meeting requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex and escalated issues and questions.
  • Maintain the Service Now ticket system and report on metrics
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for all inquiries related to data integrity issues, business process improvements, and implementation of new or revised processes or systems changes.



  • Bachelors degree is required, HR designation is an asset.
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a complex business environment with expertise in the development & administration of HR policies, program, employee relations
  • Experience with HR systems and payroll
  • Experience working on HR systems like Kronos
  • Experience/knowledge working with in HR shared services environment
  • Demonstrated Experience with Project Management
  • Demonstrated Experience in implementing HR technology solutions
  • Experience in people management is an asset
  • Experience challenging the status quo and utilizing innovative thinking and demonstrated analytical problem solving skills;
  • Experience conducting analyses, interpreting information and validating accuracy and relevancy;
  • Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills to resolve business issues from an analytical perspective
  • Take ownership of tasks , support issues and drive them towards resolution
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
