Job Description

The Manager, Brand Design is a project manager/producer responsible for the management and execution of comprehensive experiential, brand and graphic design projects within PepsiCo's Global Design function. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior ability to inspire and engage cross-functional teams, and drive design solutions, directly help to execute them or working with external partners.

The main objective of this role is to execute major experiential and brand design projects across a specific product portfolio. This means planning, organizing, and implementing consistent experience design principles and graphic production processes to ensure that the design/production guardrails are met.


Design Project Management: Responsible for partnering across disciplines within PepsiCo and external suppliers to ensure design, build and brand assets are developed and delivered with quality, value, and on-time. Ensures each stakeholder understands his/her role and responsibilities throughout the creative process. Regularly reviews the status of projects with appropriate leadership to verify that Company and Division expectations are met. Supports creative direction from concept to execution and is aligned with the vision for each project throughout every step of the creative and production processes. Helps execute creative design proposals (pitches, renders, concepts, pop-ups, environmental designs, etc.) Organizes and manages the delivery of creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) and share it with internal and external team members.

Responsible for creating a framework that drives final design recommendations, decisions and design approval to enable artwork execution/production phases. Ensure a thorough consideration of all project variables and that the final solution will perform as planned.


  • BFA or BS required
  • 5+ years of experiential and design-driven projects
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate abilities in managing teams, collaborating across functions, brand experience planning and production
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to create and enhance consumer experience at all points of consumer brand interaction
  • Effectively influence senior levels in the organization across regions and functions; can get things done through formal and informal channels
  • String creative insight to inspire, advise and influence peers and indirect reports during creative development of projects
  • Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal stakeholders across all levels
  • Ability to ask the right questions, understanding the scope of a project to determine best next steps, stakeholders, team requirements, timeline and budget to successfully drive a project forward
  • Works well with others to deliver results; keeps others informed and can share successes broadly
  • Ability to understand the technical, social and emotional values that have critical business significance
  • Rich knowledge and understanding of consumer and brand behaviour, as well as In-store and In-category dynamics, and how those insights inform the design
  • Can effectively envision and address idea feasibility
  • Strong project management and design management skills
  • Compelling presentation skills
  • Ability to work in the ambiguous and dynamic work environment; is comfortable with risk and uncertainty
  • Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate the scope of work based on clear design brief with external design agencies
  • Ability to contribute strategic design solutions in collaboration with customer representatives, AFH marketing and sales to drive key customer initiatives
  • Supports the PepsiCo Design Organization in building and cultivating a strong external design network
  • Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time
