Overview We are a growing team focused on accelerating consumer demand through data science and advanced analytics. We are aligning global PepsiCo teams to build an impactful analytics portfolio. We work with Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Category Leadership, and Space Engineering resources to support Sales and Marketing plans for global, enterprise, national, and regional customers across the PepsiCo portfolio. This approach allows us to build best-in-class capabilities, develop deep functional expertise, and offer focused programs to drive growth with our customers. The Demand Accelerator team helps PepsiCo connect with consumers and provide our customers with cutting edge data and insights, as well as personalized solutions to drive incremental growth for both our customers and PepsiCo. Help us build processes to share our global solutions and solve new and exciting questions with data analysis, advanced analytics, and a love of problem solving. As a member of an Advanced Analytics and Insights team, you will help drive actionable insights for our shoppers across the entire PepsiCo portfolio. Your analysis will be used to create new strategies and apply new analytical processes that will be shared with internal PepsiCo teams as well as key strategic retailers. The Advanced Analytics Manager will serve as a critical member of the Shopper Analytics and Insights team and will help advance the thinking and capabilities of PepsiCo across all brands and impact consumers across US retailers. This individual will operate across a highly matrixed, multinational organization and help drive the organizations efforts to drive its strategic advantage through more in-depth analysis of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. Additionally, they will be tasked with building new predictive science capabilities and greater utilization to drive predictive and prescriptive actions rather than reactive behaviors to advance the business. This individual will be a combination of a data scientist and a business consultant; someone with an inherent passion for building and applying data science to problems, but with a consultative bias towards action and implementation. Responsibilities Lead the development / deployment of data science techniques / analytic tools to mine large data sets and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns, and insights in data Apply advanced analytics (predictive and prescriptive) to enable the transformation of marketing, merchandising, and execution solutions across PepsiCo divisions and retailers to be fast, agile, and granular. Sample initiatives include: Consumer/store level segmentation and most valuable store prioritization, to enable precision targeting of brand, customer, and market activity Store clustering initiatives for key customers, to drive assortment, marketing, and other granular execution for strategic customers Optimize store level opportunity forecasting for strategic brands to fuel optimized AOP planning Tailored applications of big data for key Divisional business problems and strategic channels of trade Brand Accelerator initiatives, to drive store level opportunity forecasting for strategic brands to fuel optimized AOP planning Tailored applications of big data for key business PTS and strategic channels of trade Monitor data science trends, emerging tools, and technologies to develop best and continually improving predictive science frameworks and processes Partner with key stakeholders on strategic business conversations, to understand business needs and identify the best analytical approach to solve the business problem Present and communicate advanced concepts and analytics to various levels of internal and external partners Promote a culture and acceptance of test and learn culture Compensation: The expected salary range is $ 91100- $132000 Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement Other benefits, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health, and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree in quantitative field preferred. 6-8+ years of experience in market research/insights/analytics, competitive intelligence, or other similar function with demonstrated ability to manage function in a complex environment with multiple constituencies Familiar with complex modeling and analytical methodology including, but not exclusively, Clustering, Market Segmentation, Factor/Component Analysis, Choice Data Scaling, and multivariate testing Experience with statistical programming tools (Python preferred, R, SAS etc.) Experience with deep learning tools (TensorFlow, Keras, etc.) Experience with visualization tools (Matplotlib, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Strong communication skills. You will need to educate and influence internal and external partners. Depending on the work you will also need to be able to tailor insights to all levels and functions of PepsiCo Ability to simplify highly complex analyses and output into terms that are easily accessible and impactful in both written and verbal formats Future-oriented thinker with expertise in external practices and trends High character and integrity, is consistent and acts in line with a clear and visible set of values and beliefs Must be authorized to work in the United States COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
