Riverside Medical Group is looking for an enthusiastic Manager Accounts Receivable and Charge Entry for Specialties to help in organizing, planning and implementing a variety of office administrative functions. The Manager will depend on the Supervisors assistance in a number of important functions: organizational skills, good computer skills, communication with staff, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • ""
  • Supervising, managing and motivating a staff of insurance accounts receivable and charge entry team members
  • ""
  • Overseeing specialized insurance account receivable management for an assigned set of accounts based on clinical specialty, payor or other classification
  • ""
  • Providing resources and tools to employees under supervision in order to complete assigned work efficiently and correctly
  • ""
  • Monitoring denial and no activity trends by the payer and help identify root cause issues, whether it be internal or payer related
  • ""
  • Assuring timely and complete follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or denied claims
  • ""
  • Assuring that issues that caused unpaid claims are resolved and claims are resubmitted
  • ""
  • Identifying denial trends or change in payments and participate in development and deployment of tactics to reverse denials
  • ""
  • Reporting payer issues to Riverside leadership and assist in the development of strategies and tactics to address and resolve
  • ""
  • Recommending account adjustments as appropriate
  • ""
  • Assuring claims are going out in a timely fashion and are accurately being sent to the insurance carriers
  • ""
  • Tracking Unit Key Performance Indicators and completing assessment on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to identify trends and develop tactics to improve revenue cycle metrics
  • ""
  • Front line communication with clinical and operational leadership to report revenue cycle metrics
  • ""
  • Engage clinical and operational leadership in the adoption of tactics to improve revenue cycle metrics
  • ""
  • Serve as the first point of contact on technical, procedural and policy questions related to accounts receivable and charge entry for assigned set of accounts
  • ""
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation and notes of team's collection activities
  • ""
  • Management of employee time and attendance records
  • ""
  • Oversight of employee staffing to assure that appropriate staffing to cover assigned accounts within organizational standards and norms

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • ""
  • Experience as a team leader or supervisor within the revenue cycle unit for a physician practice
  • ""
  • Experience in supervising accounts receivable and charge entry within a large multi-specialty physician enterprise
  • ""
  • Verifiable experience with denial management across multiple insurance carriers and specialties
  • ""
  • Proficient in the use of computers, insurance web portals and keyboarding with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • ""
  • Experience analyzing management reports to understand revenue cycle metrics and trends
  • ""
  • Experience communicating complicated information to providers, associates and team members
  • ""
  • Superior knowledge of payers and medical insurance terminology for billing, local coverage determinations policies, A/R follow-up and managed care regulations
  • ""
  • Experience meeting high productivity and accuracy standards
