**/ Description of Primary Role & Responsibility**


Lead to plan and execute oncology medical strategies which consistently require foresights from development to marketing phase to optimize products values as a medical senior manager in the assigned Therapeutic Area. Understand oncology therapeutic area, product profile adequately and related science deeply and promote proper usage in compliance with regulations. Build smooth cooperative partnership with various relevant departments in Pfizer such as marketing, regional and Global ones and external parties including Medical Key Opinion Leader (KOL) as a medical representative in Oncology Japan to assess benefit/risk of the assigned products appropriately and promote compliance with relevant laws/regulations. Responsible for multiple products in the field of oncology and demonstrate strong leadership as a representative of Medical in the assigned area. Lead and foster medical specialist for assigned areas.

**Demonstrate medical leadership to optimize multiple oncology products values in the assigned Therapeutic Area by joining the development team from the clinical development stage and planning to execute the consistent oncology medical strategies from development to the marketing phase.**

+ Lead the discussion related to the clinical studies and the products profile, and the science- related backgrounds (mode of action, pre-clinical/clinical data, safety and efficacy profiles, etc.).

+ Lead in constructing product strategies to optimize product values from the scientific viewpoints, understanding development situations of competitive products and predicting the future medical needs.

+ Plan methods of creating scientific evidences (Phase IV, Life Cycle Management, etc.), manage timing and plans.

**Contribute to optimization of product values, trying to create scientific evidences in accordance with the marketing strategies and demonstrate medical leadership to revise it if necessary.**

+ Assume the responsibility for use of existing data from the scientific viewpoints. (Domestic and global data summary, medical review etc.)

+ Engaged in the advisory board and the science- related discussion.

+ Conduct update/maintenance of life-cycle management from scientific point of view.

+ Conduct medical reviews of promotional materials.

**Continuously educate both internal and external people about promotion of proper use and compliance.** **Guide and educate subordinates including Medical staff and MSL in order to contribute to optimization of product values from the scientific point of views.** **Participate in therapeutic area-related local/Global meetings as the oncology therapeutic area medical lead.**

**/ Qualifications**

**/ Desired Behavioral and Technical Skills**

+ **Behavioral Skills** **:** Leadership, strategic thinking, logical mind, facilitation, creativity/innovation, negotiation, decision making, cooperativeness, well-influence, coaching/training, operating organization

+ **Technical Skills** **:** Extensive knowledge and experiences in clinical development, commercial development and medical affairs. Understand compliance and relating various regulations. Lead subordinates or teams to achieve goals.

+ **Experience** **:** At least 7-year experience in the pharmaceutical fields (medical or clinical development) or person who is more than or equal to that. Experience in the field of oncology. Management experience is preferable.

+ **Education** **/Certification:** MD, PhD, Master of Science degree (medicine, pharmacy, biology, biochemistry, etc.)

**Language:** Fluent in Japanese and English (TOEIC 730 and over)

At least 7 years experiences in the pharmaceutical fields (medical or clinical development) or person who is more than or equal to that.

Experience in the field of oncology (Especially for GUGIy)

Management experience is preferable.
