The Operational Excellence team is driving transformational change at NextGear Capital, by effectively applying Lean Daily Management (LDM) methodology and tools to our business processes. By using Lean principles and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement, the Operational Excellence Manager will implement and support a culture of sustainable, continuous improvement within NextGear Capital that delivers on strategic business outcomes and exceptional client experience, thus transforming the way the world buys, sells and own cars.


The Operational Excellence Manager (LDM) is responsible for implementing and supporting continuous improvement efforts and shaping the continuous improvement strategy while also helping leadership solve complex business, operational, and production problems. He/she will be critical in helping to recognize, analyze, prioritize, and drive opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business. He/she will own and utilize Lean Daily Management and continuous improvement methodologies, tools, techniques, and principles, assuring their freshness, applicability, and consistency with industry standards and ensuring proper implementation across multiple projects.


PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES




* Accelerate cultural change to reduce variation and waste in Company Business and Operational activities.

* Drive standardization and structure into performance indicators from the Team Member through Senior Management to identify, prioritize and validate the improvement actions and results.

* Partner with key stakeholders to prioritize and deliver projects on time.

* Identify and engage subject matter experts (SMEs), both internally and externally, to facilitate the implementation of project initiatives.

* Create efficient business processes and workflows to streamline, standardize, and accelerate initiatives in conjunction with business priorities.

* Analyze and benchmark current state processes against proposed alternatives to identify opportunities to close competitive gaps and/or gain competitive advantages.

* Analyze, document, and accurately track the progress of identified value opportunities.

* Serve as a change agent by promoting the use of Lean tools and Change Management methodology across the Company.

* Create an environment where all team members have increased opportunities to contribute to the success of the business and the security of their future through continuous improvement efforts.

* Assist in the development of lean leaders in advanced tools and methodologies for sustainable results

* Lead and manage change through effective use of lean principles, organizational design and development, and business transformation.

* Other duties as assigned.




Qualifications: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS




* BA/BS degree in in science, math, engineering, other technical degree or a related and 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification completed within 12 months of accepting position.

* 7+ years progressive experience in operations disciplines with a strategic focus or equivalent experience.

* Demonstrated team leadership skills and a desire to participate in a highly competitive business endeavor requiring a high degree of quality.

* Proven track record of leading change and implementing continuous improvement projects.

* Attention to detail, adaptability, self-starter, and high degree of personal accountability is essential.

* Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the Company, including Senior Leadership, both written and verbal.

* Excellent computer skills, including ability to use MS Office Suite.

* Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects; experience in project management.



Preferred Qualification:




* 2+ years of experience in continuous improvement application including root cause-based problem solving, kaizen events, lean six sigma projects.

* Graduate degree in business, MBA, MS.

* LSS Green Belt certification.

* Supervisory experience.

* 2-5 years of experience in people leadership.

* Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically dispersed and matrix organization.
