Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

Well look to you to manage and evolve the US regional Law Enforcement Outreach and Investigations function and team in the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) within the Compliance Department. Youll be accountable for implementing the US law enforcement outreach program and manage a team designed to respond to US law enforcement requests and a portion of the companys global subpoena production. In this role you will gain intelligence from law enforcement interactions both from a qualitative and quantitative perspective to evolve the WUs Prevent, Deter, Detect approach to suspicious financial activity. Youll build strong relationships with US law enforcement and brief others including executive management, on major trends or risks based on interactions and cases sourced from law enforcement. Must maintain expert knowledge of US legal due process as it relates to specific data sharing, Bank Secrecy Act and privacy requirements in the United States. Additional duties include close coordination with other sub-units in the FIU and law enforcement related to international Rapid Response events. This role also oversees some of the Law Enforcement Outreach Operations functions and is a second line Manager to the LEOI subpoena processing team. This role is also expected to act as a custodian of records and testify in US courts to the production of those records.

Youll need a minimum of five years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence (Financial Institution or Government) Organization or have vast experience in multinational private/public partnerships in sharing financial intelligence. You have strong investigative instincts along with a background in financial crimes investigations and can demonstrate the ability to manage operational teams. You will have knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations and Money Services Businesses (MSBs). Youll have an acute attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and be a team-oriented participate. You must have a strong understanding of privacy laws as they relate to financial Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and specific regional nuances. You will have a strong understanding of Western Union databases or the capability to quickly learn and master. You will have strong leadership and capability or proven history to foster information sharing agreements between financial institution and government and law enforcement entities. Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.

Annual base salary gross: $98,080.00 - $163,467.00. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Unions total compensation package for employees.
