Before FirstNet, built by AT&T, it was often hard for public safety officials to communicate and work together to save lives due to congestion on commercial networks and interoperability challenges with LMR systems. Now, public safety has FirstNet and it is not a commercial network. FirstNet is specifically designed with and for public safety, based on what they asked for to advance their communications. As public safetys network, FirstNet is evolving based on the needs of and feedback from first responders.

AT&T has an opening for a Lead Solutions Architect to support the implementation of solutions, in providing continuous innovation across Public Safety.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: Roles and responsibilities of the Lead Solutions Architect include but are not limited to the following:

+ Develops solution architectures for AT&T Public Safety customers to address their business, application and communications needs.

+ Proficient at the techniques that go into the formulation of solutions, including collecting customer requirements and assessing solution alternatives based on tradeoffs in cost, performance, reliability and security, and be able to partner with the team to recommend the most appropriate solution for the customer.

+ PMP and/or Six Sigma training.

+ Experience with many AT&T technology applications and stack.

+ Analyze business and network challenges and designs a comprehensive solution that integrates smoothly into the customers environment.

+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously and acts with autonomy in managing workload.

+ Proficient in exercising technical leadership which requires the ability to accept responsibility for the success of the solutions implementation, coordinate resources that are often not directly under their control and provide the support necessary to ensure overall go-to-market success.

+ Demonstrate applied knowledge in the engagement of complex projects which include efforts that require cross- organizational/business partner/multiple customer or multi-vendor coordination.

+ Expertise of how to apply architectural thinking to mission, strategy, and vision in innovative ways that deliver a positive impact and results to the business. Manages solution design with stakeholders in a manner that is consistent with our Cultural Pillars.

+ Demonstrate impeccable written and verbal skills, with the ability to present solutions at both working and executive levels.

+ Required to maintain an industry knowledge to advise on trends and techniques and apply them to the development of solutions.

Required Qualifications:

+ Demonstrated ability to thrive in cross-functional teams in shaping solutions and delivering results.

+ Strong interpersonal, communications, and writing skills.

+ Strong curiosity and passion for excellence.

Desired Qualifications: MBA/MS degree preferred. 5+ years of experience with Product Management; PMP and/or Six-Sigma certification.
