Lead Product Manager, Mobility Marketplace

The Mobility Fleet Platform aims to support the fleet of the future where every vehicle, every provider, is connected. We are looking for an exceptional mind to design builld, launch, and grow new products that eliminate pain points of fleet management and service scheduling. You will make it simple and convenient for fleets manage ownership of their vehicles; maintaining those vehicles with their preferred service providers; and for service providers to provide exceptional experience.

You will engage with fleet owners, national and local service providers, and intermediaries of varying sizes to deliver solutions that reduce the down-time and increase utilization of vehicles. You should be empathetic and deeply understand both your customers (service providers, fleet operators) and the end consumer, have technical know-how to write requirements and interface with your engineering counterparts, as well as understand how to take products to market and iterate based on feedback.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta office.


* Conduct customer/market research; formulate and in-depth understanding of the problems across customer segements and the competitive landscape.

* Collaborate with Design to rapidly prototype and validate solutions.


* Create and maintain product vision and roadmap; create business plans to secure funding; develop go-to-market strategy and value proposition. Illustrate market problems in a way that puts the problem in context. Provide relevant, timely and easily consumable updates to all internal and external audiences.

* Manage feature creation, identify business rules and business impact; collaborate with other product managers to ensure alignment across products; participate in planning and pre/post-planning events.


* Build an effective relationship between Product and Engineering; collaborate with Engineering to scope, build, and launch new products and features.

Sales & Client Engagement:

* Partner with sales, product readiness, and marketing teams to articulate G2M strategy - including measurement and goals


* Assess product performance against KPIs; iterate to improve performance; create and deliver thoughtful information to key stakeholders


* Product Management - Manages the full product lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved. Acts as owner/champion for one or more products or services. Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate product development methods, tools, and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) apporaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Analyses market and/or user research, feedback, expert opinion and usage data to understand needs and opportunities. Develops product propositions and determines product positioning and variants for different customer and user segments. Prioritizes product requirements and owns the product backlog. Coordinates trials and product launches and supports communications and training. Anticipates changes in customer/user needs; adapts products, and creates product retirement and transitioning plans.

* Requirements & Definition Mgmt - Contributes to the selection of the requirements approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritization of requirements. Reviews requirements for errors and omissions. Establishes the requirement base-lines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source. Investigates, manages, and applies authorized requests for changes to base-line requirements in line with change management policy.

* Relationship Management - Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables. Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and placs. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding. Facilitates business decision-making processes. Captures and disseminates technical and business information.

* Innovation - Manages the innovation pipeline and executes innovation processes. Develops, evolves and adapts innovation tools, processes and infrastructures to drive the process of innovation. Encourages and motivates innovation communities, teams and individuals to share creative ideas and learns from failures. Manages and facilitates the communication and open flow of creative ideas between interested parties and the set-up of innovation networks and communities.

* Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements


* Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, HCI/Design, or related field; Masters degree preferred

* 5 years of experience in product management, engineering, UX design/research, or strategy/innovation consulting (or equivalent combination of post-graduate education and work-related experience); exceptional applicants with less experience will be considered.

* Possesses an entreprenuerial spirit: smart; logical but creative; conceptual and empirical; owner and influencer; tremendous ability to synthesize information; intuition for users and organizations; thrive with ambiguity; thirst to understand the "why" and the "how".

* Strong technical understanding and interest. Have opinions on technology decisions that our engineers will value and respect. Our customers will view you as an authority.

* Ability to communicate and influence across teams.

* Working experience in a collaborative, cross-functional, and complex team environment.

* Develops a wide breadth of knowledge across the industry or business.

Nice to have:

* Automotive industry experience

* Prior entrepreneurial experience

* Experience with ethnographic and evaluative research, customer journey mapping, and service design

* Experience with the latest design & protyping software (e.g. Sketch, Figma, etc.)

* Development experience, including personal projects
