The DIRECTV Retention Strategy team is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and analytical candidate to join us in our El Segundo, CA offices as a Lead Marketing Manager.


Description - Internal Do you have a passion for digging for answers in data, solving problems that nobody else can solve, segmentation and statistical methods? We use advanced skills in trend analysis, root cause analysis and other analysis techniques to leverage data from internal and external sources to explain behavior, solve a variety of business problems, and optimize retention strategies. One of the most important aspects of this position is to take very large quantities of customer data and analytic results and condense it down into a coherent story with clear, easy to follow conclusions, implications informed by knowledge of the business to make actionable recommendations. With the quickly evolving video landscape, we need a seasoned business and data analyst that can guide our video strategy with qualitative detailed studies. - Gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of data to identify causal relationships, trigger points, on customer video product upsell behavior, engagement to our video products. - Projects include customer spend behavior, transactional analysis, and data visualization. - Develop self-service data tools, and other visual aids in support of findings. - Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of data analyses, insights, skills capabilities and original thinking.


Qualifications


3-5 years of experience in data analytics or related field BS/BA in business, math, statistics, computer science or related quantitative fields; Advanced Degree preferred Advanced Excel and Powerpoint Skills and Coding proficiency in SQL, Tableu or similar required Experience with large transactional databases Must possess a solid understanding of basic statistics and consumer marketing Experience in large media, technology, ecommerce, or other subscription-based company is a plus


In this role you will be responsible for:


+ Responsible for analyzing Video retention save transactions across multiple systems and billing platforms to determine optimal use of spend and execution of spend controls/reporting

+ Responsible for leveraging strong financial analysis and modeling skills, including the ability to interpret disparate, complex data to drive retention strategies and spend outcomes

+ Collaborate and build strong teamwork and communications with internal stakeholders including Care, Analytics, Marketing, Product, Finance

+ Distill core components of complex problems into succinct and easily understood solutions.

+ Demonstrates confidence and poise in presenting hypotheses, conclusions and recommendations to senior management


Education: Typically a masters degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Typically 3-5 years of experience in related field. Supervisory: No.

AT&T and TPG signed an agreement to form a new entity, DIRECTV, which will own and operate AT&Ts U.S. video unit consisting of DIRECTV (consumer and business satellite services), AT&T TV and U-verse TV (excluding U-verse network assets). **_When the transaction closes, the job you are applying for will become part of the New DIRECTV_** **.** Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021. Required Skills and Experience


+ Five or more years Product Marketing experience within relevant industry and/or vertical

+ Expertise within the relevant discipline

+ Team oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

+ Strong organizational and project management skills, able to plan, meet deadlines, prioritize projects and manage a cross-functional team.

+ Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills, experience with detailed quantitative analyses

+ Demonstrated success in the analysis, integration, management and reporting of multiple and extremely complex datasets from multiple vendors.

+ Ability to rapidly analyze and update reports with new data

+ Excellent project management skills required including ability to set and meet tight deliverables for multiple simultaneous projects while assuring accuracy and consistency in deliverables

+ Leadership skills to shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy

+ Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook

+ Outstanding written and oral communication skills

+ Ability to distill and communicate findings into concise language and draw fact-based conclusions and recommendations

+ Ability to articulate needs and influence changes in multiple external and internal groups, through the use of data-driven analysis

+ Collaborative working style, strong listening skills, with ability to incorporate multiple viewpoints into discussion and decision making

+ Ability to establish rapport with Client, credibility and positive working relationship with all stakeholders including suppliers and internal clients at all organizational levels

+ Ability to troubleshoot and resolve stakeholder problems/issues/concerns

+ Proven ability to drive results

+ Must be able to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax.


Desired Skills, Experience and Education


+ Six or more years Product Marketing experience Considerable working knowledge of other major areas and the skills to integrate and communicate that information is preferred

+ Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Administration or Business

+ MBA
