Perform duties and responsibilities related to the general leadership and overall operational support of all work areas within the Distribution Operations Center (DOC). Work will require production and labor oversight for all areas within the DOC, to include, Shipping and Receiving, Kitting and Assembly, Vaccine Storage and Distribution, Scanning, and Facility Support. DOC Lead primary responsibility is to lead a team of Associate I and II staff to complete daily work operations. DOC Lead may be required to assist with daily production as volume levels necessitate. Primary Responsibilites:

    ""
  • Manage DOC daily and weekly production forecasting and labor resource allocation while being able to work independently.
  • ""
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures.
  • ""
  • Determine employee strengths to improve DOC quality and productivity.
  • ""
  • Ensure daily audits are completed to ensure production conforms to contractual guidelines and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • ""
  • Assist with oversight, general maintenance and security of the DOC facility.
  • ""
  • Manage and drive production to ensure all daily tasks in Kitting and Assembly, Shipping and Receiving, Vaccine Storage and Distribution, and Scanning are completed and conform to contractual obligations.
  • ""
  • Assist with production in all areas of the DOC during high volume periods, occurrences and other activities when labor resources are limited, or to complete daily operational requirements.
  • ""
  • Mentor DOC Associates to recognize positive work practices, address areas for improvements, act as a resource for others and promote LHI Culture.
  • ""
  • Train and motivate DOC associates to meet and exceed production goals and quality standards.
  • ""
  • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Degree or GED
  • ""
  • Minimum of 1+ years experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment with the knowledge of inventory management processes and shipping and receiving carriers or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience
  • ""
  • Ability to coach and lead a team.
  • ""
  • General understanding of lean six sigma principles with the ability to promote continuous improvement processes.
  • ""
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and the ability to work independently out of an internal database.
  • ""
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
  • ""
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs frequently (34-66% of the time).
  • ""
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, package and transport (shift/roll/push/pull) multi-sized packages that range from 10 35lbs frequently and 50+lbs occasionally to rarely with assistance.
  • ""
  • Capable of driving company vehicles to assist with packages and mail deliveries.
  • ""
  • Valid drivers license.
  • ""
  • Provide on-call phone support at night and on weekends within a rotation schedule.
  • ""
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 percent of weekends in support of on-location events.
  • ""
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location.

  • 2+ years Associates degree or higher education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or other related field.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks across all areas of the DOC.

  • Production focused with the ability to lead a team to complete daily tasks on time and within contractual and quality standards, requiring knowledge of the daily tasks and functions of all areas within the DOC.
  • ""
  • Must be dependable with the ability to perform responsibilities with little to no supervision.
  • ""
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • ""
  • Provide recommendations and innovative solutions regarding moderate to highly complex issues.

  • Strong problem solving, organizational, time management and team building skills.

  • Effectively manage stress and work in a fast pace environment while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work extended periods of time in refrigerated or freezer environments.

  • Knowledge of military medical readiness requirements.

  • Lean Six Sigma inventory management education and experience.

  • Knowledge of shipping carriers and regulations.
