Position Summary: Our Norwell clinic is growing, in a great neighborhood, and supportive staff.

Arbour Counseling Services in Norwell is a comprehensive outpatient mental health clinic specializing outpatient services to children, adults and families. Mental health counseling and psychiatry. Applied behavioral analysis consultation to families. Evaluations mostly psychiatric and behavioral.

Arbour Counseling Services is now seeking a full-time Lead Clinician. The Lead Clinician will assist with supervision of clinicians towards licensure including group and individual supervision. In addition to assist the Center Director in management of clinic.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision to clinicians who have not yet attained independent licensure.
  • Responds to requests from the Center Director or Business Manager to manage clinical crises
  • Performs Utilization Review at the direction of the Center Director or Business Manager
  • Assesses clients or familys needs and eligibility for services
  • Provides individual, group and family therapy in accordance with assigned client needs
  • Provides therapy to clients in accordance with applicable credentials
  • Provides clinical intervention with persons diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder
  • Participates in planning treatment programs, dispositional and discharge plans
  • Maintains family contact regarding client adjustments
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning
  • Develops and maintains client case records, notes, plans and reports
  • Accepts supervision and attends regularly-scheduled team or supervision meetings
  • Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations or with unpredictable or violent clients
  • Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources.
Job Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related Program from an accredited college or University.
  • Must be independently licensed
  • Two to three years of experience working in community health preferred
