The Cisco AMP engineering team is composed of highly skilled individuals who are comfortable working in a dynamic and technically challenging environment. The AMP team is a highly performance group that are involved with all stages of the product development process from solving complex engineering problems to working directly with customers.

What You'll Do

This is a great opportunity to work with the Cisco AMP engineering group based in Calgary to assure quality for the Advanced Malware Protection platform. The hired employee will be responsible for testing a cloud architecture in both a manual and automated fashion. Furthermore, that person will be required to read technical documents, create test cases/test plans, contribute to overall design, and perform other tasks to improve software quality.

Must-haves

• 7+ years of experience in software development or testing role
• Experience with Linux or Unix-based operating systems
• Experience to develop and maintain automation framework, libraries and internal tools for functional and performance testing
• Work closely across teams through the design and development process
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services.
• Ability and desire to develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline
• Design and develop test scenarios and representative datasets to cover new and existing functionality for the high-load production platform
• Experience with testing of RESTful APIs for components in a service-oriented architecture

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant stream
• Experience with white box testing
• Testing and/or configuration of security products
• Testing of cloud based distributed systems
• Experience load & performance testing cloud services
• Production experience with AWS technology such as Lambda
• Experience working with serverless architectures
• Experience with production scale distributed datastores
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (particularly SCRUM).
