The Lead Analyst will conduct and manage the outcome of various studies and projects, as either a lead analyst or as oversight of other analysts.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • They will develop and use expert knowledge of assigned business units to influence decision-making and support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. Activities will include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning
  • ""
  • They will develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis and documentation of data and business processes. This will specifically include detailed documentation of current business rules and processes, and the identification of process and operational improvement opportunities to drive more cost-effective implementation approaches, including opportunities to avoid manual activities
  • ""
  • They will provide analysis, assessment, and tracking of systems or business requirements for assigned business units focusing on business goals
  • ""
  • Activities will include screen design, data capture and data submission processes at an individual field level, and at a file level and at a full end-to-end process level
  • ""
  • They will execute the investigation, planning, communication and implementation of solutions for complex business problems primarily through the application of technology and/or project management methodologies
  • ""
  • They will ensure a disciplined approach and methodology are applied to optimize cost, schedule, service and quality
  • ""
  • They will create and manage project-oriented teams in order to successfully implement changes

  • Familiarity with the business values driving a proposed project including health care costs, product portfolio enhancements, regulatory compliance and/or simplification of operations.Familiarity with these goals will drive an end-to-end perspective and understanding of projects

  • Ability to connect day to day business activities with how it impacts our customers end-user experience

  • Ability to articulate business values driving the proposed project including health care costs, product portfolio enhancements, regulatory compliance and/or simplification of operations. Ability to articulate these items both verbally and via multiple written channels

  • Ability to identify and turn ambiguity in current processes, into tactical and definable solutions
  • ""
  • Ability to review existing reports, metrics and data and make recommendations for changes to improve quality of effectiveness and efficiency; including the ability to challenge existing thoughts in a positive and assertive manner

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the flow of data and information through multiple business areas; includes development of a technical and business knowledge of functional areas

  • Demonstrates an broad perspective and understanding of downstream impacts initiated by changes in process and provides critical input into the selection of solutions

  • Oversees the entire project life cycle and ensures the design of the system & process meet the needs of the business as defined in the requirements including documenting the process, assessing and managing risk, forecasting and managing resource needs, developing metrics, clarifying roles, managing the release/rollout of the process to ensure issues and problems are addressed and if applicable ensuring legal, compliance and HIPAA standards.

  • Strictly adheres to project management tools, processes and methodologies (including resource capacity management and intake processes)
  • ""
  • Ability to manage the scope and phasing of projects; forecasting and estimating of effort to ensure that customer expectations on delivery timeframes are effectively balanced.

  • Estimates project resource needs such as staff, user personnel, consultant and equipment.
  • ""
  • Ability to clarify the goals of the initiative(s) to ensure that the solution is correct for the defined problem/goal.

  • Collaborates with business partners to develop business requirements and test plans / reports between areas assigned business unit. Focuses on coordination of participants, review of feasibility, performance needs, and thoroughness of documentation.

  • Expert level ability to develop, define and document business requirements, including current process flow documentation, new process design and development
  • ""
  • Adept at performing risk analysis, identifying risks, documenting risks and risk mitigation approaches; and recommend methods and controls, which will help mitigate the known risks, ensure that the risks are incorporated into the business requirements
  • ""
  • Ability to define testing goals, a test plan, and test cases; and the ability to execute testing and lead small to medium test efforts
  • ""
  • Ability to assist in the implementation of process changes including assistance in training curriculum and the development of communications for internal and external customer audiences

  • Assists in the development of the business cases in conjunction with project team to ensure that the planning for the proposed project has been fully vetted. Understands the yearly project planning and prioritization process. Helps to focus business peers and project teams on agreed upon projects

  • Demonstrates knowledge of underlying data structures and data flow as it relates to business processes and data management principles and promotes Information Management initiatives, including Self Service Reporting and Data Quality
  • ""
  • Demonstrates project management skills, including development of project plans, milestones and the use of the IS tools for tracking project plans. Creates, develops and writes meeting agendas, minutes, action-items and helps to identify critical success factors
  • ""
  • Manages reported maintenance issues using the current production support processes and tools to identify functionality gaps and advises the business client on options
  • ""
  • Maintains effective informal and formal communications with business constituencies through proactively responding to concerns, displaying an understanding of their business and providing suggestions and solutions

  • Maintains consistent drive and focus individually and for project teams by effective use of problem solving, issue resolution and managing to milestones

  • Bachelors degree or 5 years Project Management experience
  • ""
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • ""
  • 2 years of healthcare industry experience
  • ""
  • 1-year experience with how technology components (software, hardware, network) support and enhance processes of assigned business units
  • ""
  • 1-year expereince with impact of healthcare market trends and regulations on the supported business units
  • ""
  • 1-year experience with small, medium, and large project activity
