What Youll Do

Lead the Sales Planning team responsible covering the Top Service Provider/Web, Enterprise, Public Sector customers globally. This includes managing top customer list, Co-Planning and Customer Concentration capability, Sales Linearity insights, customer and sales leadership engagement.

The Sales Planning team is responsible for building a strategic relationship with top customer and account teams with the objective of developing long range and accurate co-planning forecasts. These Co-Planning forecasts and customer/region insights are key inputs in driving forecast accuracy improvements. As a Regional Sales & Operations Manager you will drive Supply Chain alignment with Sales, Sales Finance and Client Experience Services (formerly CPS), and ensure liaison with Supply Chain for planning shipment requirements to serve customer needs and the financial plan. You will focus on predicting and orchestrating business and customer outcomes through Sales & Operations planning, co-planning, co- commit and operational enablement.

  • Engage with Sales and customers on acquiring 52 weeks rolling forecast and drive regular planning meetings
  • Work with customers on product transition roadmap and share insights with Demand Planning team
  • Coordinate with all regions in providing inputs to Sales demand line.
  • Provide SL2 insight for current quarter (headwinds/tailwinds) and provide view of Sales forecast for Q+1
  • Event based engagement in select instances especially with Top customers
  • Participate in QBR's for select customers

Who Youll Work With

Lead team of Regional S&OP Managers. This people leader role requires significant collaboration with many cross-functional leaders within Supply Chain Operations as well as Product Marketing, Sales, Sales Finance and Sales Planning and Operations leaders.

Who You Are

  • At least 10 years of Supply chain experience (Cisco or Industry) in S&OP, end-to-end planning processes, inventory management, product life-cycle management, sourcing, supply chain financials, and / or supply chain modeling experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess, frame and drive data centric decisions. Lead organization to build models to analyze what-if scenarios for anticipatory planning purposes. Recognizes underlying themes and patterns and reduces complex data to a few key conclusions that can easily be understood by others.
  • Subject matter authority on sales and customer relationship engagement. Understands and applies general business concepts and principles including profit and loss statements, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment calculations to drive data centric decisions. Able to build and use financial direction analyses and compares (quarter over quarter, year or year) to explain current performance in the context of the macro business situation, and use this insight to achieve future desired outcomes
  • Broad understanding of Ciscos customers, markets and products knowledge & experience. Understands Ciscos business strategy and macro business environment. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives. Can effectively represent that understanding in meaningful ways to others.
  • Provides thought leadership. Sees connections between supply chain actions and strategic business outcomes. Anticipates future threats and opportunities for our customers and businesses, and makes decisions based on global business conditions and strategies. Strategies are inclusive of data and intuition and encompass whole systems thinking.
  • Basic knowledge of how business is transacted through Ciscos systems and overall IT architecture. Understands and align business needs to the IT architecture and ensure they support effective execution of the business.
  • Capable of leading conversations to influence and drive better decisions with multiple partners, often at the Director and VP levels.
  • Confidently presents own position despite resistance or unfavorable reactions from others. Addresses problems or conflicts with others openly and directly. Has the conviction to take risks, make decisions and call out when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Deep experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve results by identifying and aligning to shared goals, priorities and commitments. Able to hold peers, partners and self accountable to commitments.
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience preferred. Manages a team of professional-level employees responsible for completing Sales Planning operational activities and projects. Ensures processes, systems and people operate in concert with each other and the necessary training, support and metrics are in place to measure and self-correct performance. Translates business and process improvement strategies into operational objectives and plans for the group, including resourcing, budgets and dedication plans. Provides mentoring and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports. Models and provides leadership examples for organization. Drives to a global, diverse and open environment.
