Perspecta has an immediate need for a Enterprise Application Administrator in South Charleston, WV.

Enterprise Application Administrator - Public Trust Clearance

Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple applications including, but not limited to MicroFocus BSM (formerly HP BSM), Splunk, Dimensions, ServiceNow, Universal Discovery (UD), Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), Confluence, Jira, and GitLabs in an enterprise data center environment, including providing day-to-day business hour, non-prime on-call, or call in support to assigned systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full integration of MicroFocus toolsets into customers environment.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas of architecture, planning, implementation, installing, configuration, assessments and upgrading of MicroFocus, CA, Splunk, and/or ServiceNow solutions.
  • Lead technical engagement and deliver value to the client by implementing KPIs, application dashboards, and custom reporting.
  • Perform administration of the tools used to monitor and manage enterprise networks.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, manage operations, implement task automation and oversee monitoring of all tools platforms in the responsible area, including but not limited to MicroFocus BSM, UD, Splunk, and TWS.
  • Perform assessment of existing environment and provide a recommendation for improvement to program management office.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience. May hold entry-level or intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 2-5 years of relevant experience

Experience Skills:

  • Specific domain knowledge on various MicroFocus solution components (e.g. Application Performance Management (APM) Universal Discovery (UD), Dimensions) required.
  • Experience in designing, planning and implementing MicroFocus solution integrations with external event/data sources.
  • Experience with Installation and management of Splunk, including dashboard creation.
  • Experience in developing maintenance procedures, managing operations, implementing task automation and general self-monitoring of BSM platform.
  • Possess overall domain knowledge about IT infrastructure, system management, middleware, DBs, application and IT service management
  • Experience with scripting (shell, JavaScript, Jython, Python, Perl) and/or programming is desired (Java, C) is desired.
  • Experience in administering and developing MicroFocus/HP enterprise monitoring tools is required.
  • Integration experience with ServiceNow highly desired.
  • Experience in administering COTS monitoring tools.
  • Experience in requirements analysis or business analysis skills helpful
  • Experience in ITIL methodology a plus.
  • Possess excellent oral, written and customer service skills required. Other experience that would be a plus
  • SSRS SQL Server Reporting Services
  • SSIS SQL Server Integration Service
  • Programming in C#, .Net core, Angular
  • Windows or Linux administration
  • CA Tools including CA ServiceDesk.
  • Monitoring platforms such as Zenoss or Longitude.

Education

  • 2+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (5+ years in total)
