The IRA team leader is responsible for developing and executing the firm's individual retirement account strategy, and ensuring that branch teams have quality account offerings, as well as the support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals. This position is also responsible for working in collaboration with key stakeholders across the firm to maintain our individual account solutions, including the design, development, and implementation of procedures, processes, systems and controls to ensure an ideal user experience for Financial Advisors and unparalleled experience for clients.

Responsibility Summary:

* Work closely with the General Partner and lead a team that is responsible for developing and executing the firm's individual retirement account strategy. Ensure branch teams have quality account offerings, as well as the support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.
* Drive the ongoing design and development of innovative individual retirement account programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders based on client, branch and market insights that align with firm advice and guidance.
* Lead a team that is responsible for the firm's individual retirement accounts to:
* manage and maintain IRA offerings, including making recommendations to firm governance committees to add / remove / change account requirements as needed. Identify gaps and opportunities in individual retirement account offerings and create and execute plans to address.
* approve and drive execution of business plans for individual retirement accounts that align with the firm's strategic direction.
* ensure that firm literature for individual retirement accounts is current and compliant, and that branch support is effective and aligned with key firm messaging. Accountable for the team having efficient and effective ongoing processes and controls for these items.
* provide thought leadership and influence the design and development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience for individual retirement accounts.
* ensure the resolution of complex / broad issues is escalated. Determine root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurrences.
* regularly interface with peer contacts across the firm and the industry (E.g. senior leadership, divisional leaders, product line leaders, and operational leaders).

* Serve as subject matter expert for individual retirement accounts for the firm. Includes advanced knowledge of all individual retirement account types and their relative positioning in the marketplace. Active role in the industry as firm representative for individual retirement accounts.
* Understand and interpret rules and potential rule changes in the tax, legal and regulatory environment for individual retirement accounts; influence and shape firm position with respect to tax, legal and regulatory issues for these accounts.
* Lead broad division, firm or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent individual retirement accounts in alignment with firm strategy (E.g. cross-divisional projects, internal committees, national events, regional events, industry groups, etc.).
* Accountable for developing and recommending risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and effectiveness of IRAs while minimizing risk to clients and the firm.
* Attract, develop and lead a team of high performing leaders and associates. Assist in their ongoing growth and personal and professional development.

* Bachelor's degree required with quantitative discipline preferred (E.g. finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
* 10+ years of relevant financial services experience
* 7+ years of retirement experience strongly preferred.
* Leadership experience required.
* Series 7, 66 required within 12 months of hire.
* Advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred.
