What Youll Do

The Sales Specialist role is responsible for driving sales of Cisco's IoT solutions in Western Canada, with specific emphasis on Utilities, Mining, Energy, and Transportation. Your focus in this position is to uncover business benefits for a customer by showcasing Cisco IoT solutions to solve business problems and transform the way your customers get value from their connected assets. You are creative and focusing on new ways to impact pipeline by new ways of reaching customers, such as statewide associations, school organizations, and consulting firms.

Who Youll Work With

You, as an IoT Sales Specialist, will lead the sales motion by working collaboratively in Canada with Cisco account teams, channel partners, and end customers to grow IoT sales revenue.  You will also work with Ciscos product management, industry solutions teams and others to drive strategy and deliver results.

Our Minimum Requirements for the role

Required Skills:

  • You have a strong IoT background managing large, complex, technology sales requiring C-level executive support
  • You have carried a quota and consistently met/ exceeded your forecast
  • You are comfortable speaking in front of large audiences (100+) which will include a mix of technologists, thought leaders, and industry professionals.
  • You have experience in selling industrial networking solutions to both IT and OT buyers
  • You have experience working in an overlay sales role, or are open to it
  • You have experience selling through channel partners
  • You have cross-industry experience - in particular, Public Sector, Utilities, Transportation, Manufacturing, Energy/ Oil & Gas, Smart Cities expertise
  • You are efficient selling remotely or in-person and traveling up to 50% of the time

Desired Skills:

  • IoT Expert who has worked for 5+ years selling IoT hardware or platforms
  • Direct sales/account management experience at Cisco, or one of our partners or competitors
  • Strong working knowledge of the industrial networking or physical security competition
  • You have worked at both start-ups and large enterprise organizations
