Job Description

PepsiCos Global Ops Modeling Team helps to build and support end to end Integrated Supply Chain Planning template solutions for multiple Global Sectors (ESSA, LATAM, AMENA). Several components of the template solution involve sophisticated optimization tools to model and solve business problems such as Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization and Daily Production Planning. In the end state, these solutions will manage 250+ sites across the globe.

The primary function of this role will be to design/configure the models/solutions to deliver highly optimized inventory plans (safety stock policies) which reduce inventory, maximize fill rates and deliver productivity. This role will also engage with sector CoE leads to align on glidepath for safety stock policies and track productivity. In addition, this role will build and support IO analytics capabilities for the markets that are on board the Global ISCP template. Working with global partners (IT teams and Sector teams) to improve and sustain business performance and capabilities will be key components of this role.

Up to 10% travel.

  • Develop & support optimization models for Inventory Optimization for multiple sectors ESSA, AMENA & LATAM
  • Provide algorithmic solves for IO model through constraint based programming / modeling
  • Enhance IO model for unique market requirements and business changes (Runtime reduction, fill rate performance, capacity shortages, recommend alternate input values in case of missing data)
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to design, develop, test and deploy Inventory Optimization models for global deployments
  • Provide support to ensure hyper care is exited on a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot & resolve production issues related to existing IO models which have been deployed at multiple sites (globally)
  • Continuous Improvement: Interact with Sector CoE teams to validate & enhance key modeling approaches
  • Develop tools to supplement IO analytics, provide visibility to IO safety stock drivers
  • Monitoring/support/sustainment of global deployments


  • BS or MS Degree in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Applied Math or Industrial Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with an inventory optimization package like JDA IO, SAP IBP, Seqoia, Kinaxis, Logility is a must
  • 2-5 years of experience in the area of supply chain, 2-3 years of which are specifically in the area of inventory optimization
  • Experience with MS Access, SQL, Visualization tools like Tableau & deployment on Share Point
  • Able to engage Sector Leadership as well as Supply Chain Managers in weekly calls
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as with others as a part of a team
  • Commitment to high quality work
