Who Youll Work With

The Global Customer Experience (CX) Centers Intellectual Capital (IC) Digitization team plays a meaningful role in the execution of Ciscos forward-looking strategy by actively handling the creation of digitized intellectual capital for use by our engineers and customers to proactively avoid issues and to efficiently resolve them when they do occur. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with our Project & Program Managers, Technical Subject Matter Experts, Delivery, Change Managers, and Business Operations Managers to clearly communicate and drive over-arching strategy into trackable actions and defined deliverables.

Role Description

The Global Customer Experience (CX) Centers Intellectual Capital (IC) Digitization Program Manager will act as an agent to facilitate readiness programs and should be comfortable managing projects and presenting to multiple audience types globally. This role will focus on using your Program Management expertise and analytical skills to communicate, develop, lead, and assist strategic priorities, processes, and workflows with the program, partner, and consumer in mind. The successful candidate must work within deadlines of structured or unstructured programs, be flexible to business needs, have a dedication to completing high quality deliverables on or ahead of schedule and will be a positive team player, with high energy, outstanding communication skills and the drive to collaborate. The new addition to the team will be required to:

Overall Responsibilities

  • Work as an IC Digitization champion with an eye on the overarching strategy across the organization to drive the CX perspective with multiple teams and disciplines
  • Track project status across available tools enabling partners to make decisions by communicating status, timelines, expectations, actions, risks and next steps
  • Interact regularly with multiple engineering, project, program and product teams and proactively collaborate with subject matter authorities (SME) to ensure the accuracy of requirements and deliverables
  • Interact regularly with Senior Managers, Directors and, on occasion, Vice Presidents
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of technical concepts, terminology, and workflow development processes
  • Engage external departments as required ensuring that program operations are represented effectively
  • Ability to take complex issues and communicate recommended solutions and current status/risks in a clear, timely and articulate manner
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and influence within cross-functional team environment
  • Effectively handle multiple engagements in varying stages of fulfillment
  • Perform a wide range of tasks, quickly responding to changes in demands, direction, and priorities, and accept new challenges, responsibilities and assignments. Able to switch rapidly between different projects with multiple competing priorities in a very fast-paced environment
  • Lead the transition of innovation projects or programs into a Cisco run-the-business operation
  • Lead collaborative requirements-gathering discussions and identify best practices
  • Majority of effort will allow for Remote Office and In Office flexibility, with the expectation to occasionally travel to a site-specific Cisco Office outside of primary work-site

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, with practical experience in process analysis, product launches, system implementations, change management, large group facilitation and training
  • Passion for innovation and automation
  • Can turn observed performance gaps into understandable business requirements.
  • Practical understanding of program/project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on rapport, building and sustaining relationships, listening, and promoting and focusing on common goals and win-win results
  • Ability to self-manage and organize competing priorities and tasks as well as support projects within various global time zones
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, self-guided, dynamic, and demanding environment
  • Able to work through sometimes ambiguous and unstructured environments to attain business objectives; a creative problem solver
  • Possess a solid technical background and experience in a SaaS, Agile or Continuous delivery model
  • Ability to learn new product, technology, and tools quickly and effectively explain it in a few words
  • Confirmed ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
  • Ability to build out process documentation for both Program and Project
  • Ability to work as a team member and team leader; ability to serve as an expert in a field or technical or business domain; ability to train staff in area of expertise
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of general business principles; business development, finance and sales/marketing as they relate to Solution Support Services
  • Experience in a post-sales SaaS operations and readiness environment (support center highly preferred)
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Prior Cisco experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
