Integration Solution Architect

As a part of the CTO organization, Enterprise Integration Platform Engineering team has built and operated modern cloud integration platform to enable digital capabilities and accelerate PepsiCos digital transformation and global growth across all the businesses. We are responsible to build cloud-native multi-cloud integration capabilities for PepsiCo to enable both internal and external integration. We are always exploring cutting edge cloud-native technologies to enhance microservice, application, process and data integration capabilities on Enterprise Integration platform.
We are looking for Specialist - Integration Solution Architect to join our team to drive transformation with modern integration capabilities, federate platform adoption for given business use cases, and explore and implement new innovative solutions on our platform.
Integration Solution Architect plays a vital role in the development of Microservices as per the standards set by Enterprise Integration platform. The architect provides direction to the rest of the developers on Microservices development with application architecture reviews and recommendations. Integration Architect also proposes new architecture designs and support various proof of concepts to showcase Enterprise Integration Platform capabilities. The architect will also collaborate with Cloud platform Engineers and Testers on global-scale large integration initiatives for ongoing projects.


Help establish learning framework and organization for DevOps transformation, including the development of training modules for application teams
Identify opportunities to optimize current solutions and perform technical analysis and/or provide hands-on technical support on an as needed basis, to troubleshoot problems
Lead the architecture discussion and reviews with internal (enterprise architecture, security ) and external teams
Lead integration patterns simplification, reference implementations and enable federated development
Define and implement reference implementations to enable legacy technology and cloud migrations
Collaborate and communicate with key business lines, technology partners, vendors and architects


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent

8+ years of Industry experience
6+ years of Enterprise/Solution architecture experience
4+ years of Cloud architecture and solutions experience
Experience with requirements gathering and programming background
Ability to lead complex program delivery for integration

Technical Skills:

Solution architecture experience with microservices, event-driven architecture
Experience with cloud-native microservice development experience using spring boot, Pivotal PCF, Eureka registry, Artifcatory, Hystrix, Istio, client-side load balancing, API gateway and API management
Experience working with Public/Private/Hybrid cloud architecture (PaaS) using PCF and Azure Kubernetes Services
Experience with real-time event streaming architecture and technologies ( Kafka/Azure Event hub)
Experience in open-stack technologies running in private, public or hybrid data center locations is preferred
Good knowledge in the Transport layer, Application layer and container security frameworks
Experience or familiarity with API gateway, API portal and Authentication/Authorization frameworks
Hands-on experience in developing applications using Spring framework
Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs
Familiar with highly scalable, well-conditioned Cloud architecture standards

Non-Technical Skills
Experience with agile development methodology (i.e. SAFe Agile)
Experience in working large teams to deliver production strength integration projects
