The Branch Learning & Development department seeks an experienced, talented and driven Instructional Technologist to help us deliver world-class learning experiences to our branch teams so that they can effectively and efficiently help our clients achieve their financial goals. As a instructional technologist, you will work collaboratively with business partners, instructional designers, learning strategists, learning analysts and our curriculum manager to co-create impactful learning experiences that meet the needs of our financial advisors and their branch office administrators.

Position: Instructional Technologist

*Key Responsibilities*
* Consult with designers on the most effective use of tools, technologies, platforms and methodologies to ensure project outcomes.
* Designs and develops technology-enabled learning assets, including branching simulations, video, audio, graphics, animations, activity-based learning experiences and other rich media elements.
* Adheres to evidence-based adult learning theory and user-centered design standards.
* Designs quality assurance testing and test scripts that ensure the technical integrity of the learning assets deployed to the LMS and other web-based environments.
* Develops courseware and templates that support the design and development of sound instruction.
* Co-creates best practices for e-learning tool use, development methodology and the administration of the LMS.
* Adheres to department and firm processes, design and compliance standards.
* Monitors ongoing improvements in e-learning, web development and media creation tools and technologies.
* Maintains a high level of proficiency with web and multimedia development tools and learning technologies.
* Leverages design thinking and co-creation techniques to participate in creation of learner-centered, holistic learning experiences.
* Maneuvers comfortably through complex, ambiguous and challenging projects, policies and organizational structures.
* Takes ownership for and passionately drive towards self-development, stays current with technology, tools, software and learning principles that elevate the learner's experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills required to forecast, troubleshoot technical limitations, and anticipate the effects of design decisions, system performance, and user experience to deliver quality learning assets.


* Bachelors degree in one of the following fields: Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, Communications or equivalent work experience or related field.
* Expertise in multimedia development tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, or Avid.
* Expertise in industry technologies and standards, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, xAPI and SCORM.
* Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities and executive presence, including explaining technical concepts to and collaborating with a variety of business stakeholders.
* Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and user-centered design principles and how they apply to training design and development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design concepts and practices.
* Experience with LMS administration or other learning systems.
* Experience managing complex projects.
* 3+ years of learning and/or instructional technology, design or strategy experience or related field and experience.
* Expertise in development with eLearning tools, such as Articulate 360 Studio or Adobe Captivate.
