Job Description



*This position is contingent upon proposal award.


HII - TSD is currently seeking an Instructional Systems Specialist / Training Rep 2 to work at a government site on our Naval Education Training Center (NETC) Ready Relevant Learning Support training curriculum program.

Essential Job Responsibilities



Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.


Administers, supervises, advises on, designs, develops, or provides educational or training services for curriculum provided by Naval Aviation Warfare Command Training Support Detachment (NAWC TSD) Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Plan, develop, and review objectives, content, methods, resources, and procedures of evaluation in an unbiased way. Ensures project work products and deliverables are developed in accordance with organizational standard processes May design and develop computer based training, web-based training, electronic performance support systems and other technology-based learning solutions. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Minimum travel expected





Minimum Qualifications




+ 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.


+ The work requires knowledge of learning theory and the principles, methods, practices and techniques of one or more specialties of the instructional systems field.


+ The work requires experience with the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) model in developing new and/or revised instructional materials.


+ Experience or related experience performing training system analysis and design.


+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.









Preferred Requirements




+ Experience using the NETC End-to-End (E2E) process


+ Understanding of the NETC Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) toolset.


+ B.A. or B.S. degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional Systems Design or equivalent






Physical Requirements



May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
