What You'll Do

The relationship between Cisco Business, Marketing and Insights and Analytics is vital in crafting a consistent customer experience. The pivotal point of this relationship will be encouraged by the integration of aligning a data strategy to support, prioritize and guide business objectives. The Strategic Global analyst will be the lynchpin in creating global consistent initiatives and groundbreaking initiatives across all segments and regions.

Who You'll Work With

The Strategic analyst will align with members across marketings Strategic to own strategic projects, develop business impacting insights to executive leadership, and develop global capabilities and initiatives activated in region. This role requires the analyst to deep dive across a myriad of data sets, understand key segment priorities, and build actionable initiatives / insights to drive into the business.

In this role you will be responsible for

- Data Requirements Aligned to Knowledge of the Business

  • Partner with segment and partner analysts to understand key priorities, strategies, and consistencies.
  • In depth knowledge of sales playbooks and product portfolio. Understand product migration paths, core sales plays products, alignment to key segments, market competition, etc.
  • Partnering with Strategic Insights lead own market transitions, big rocks, sprint calendar, etc to provide data strategy mentorship (datasets, core products, models, etc) for global scale.

- Stakeholder Training and Education

  • Document key wins, education opportunities, highlights, etc which can be included into broader Insights and Analytics communications out to stakeholders. The goal is to promote and build transparency into standard methodologies.

- Strategic Planning

  • Using centro understand business performance, communicate strengths and weaknesses in Ciscos performance. Deliver a high level data pack to segments and region analyst teams outlining key concerns, wins, etc established by the Strategic Insights analyst which will support segment and region planning.

- Analysis, Execution, and Project Requirements

  • Own requirements, targeting, and segmentation for sprints to create a single consistent approach which will be executed across segments and regions.
  • Across landscape of insights establish consistent analysis which will net top 5 key monthly insights which will be delivered to executive leadership teams.
  • Own contactability across the Globe aligning acquisition and enrichment strategies to support segment specific initiatives.

- Metrics and Performance

  • Segment Analyst to have monthly and quarterly insights readouts with marketing stakeholders.
  • Document key insights to support greater KPIs results and communications.
  • Responsible global consolidation and takeaways related monthly insights.
  • Partner with digital analysts to understand impact and takeaways of always on journeys and align insights back to region and country.
  • Align with segment analyst and partner analyst to understand performance, insights, key takeaways etc to roll up key insights supporting the insights' section with the KPI executive dashboard.

- Tools and Visualization Expertise

  • Technical skills enabling data exploration, multi-faceted analysis, and complex analysis. Skills enable development a visualization via Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Data exploration skills require SQL, GCP Big Query, Domo pro editor, or advanced tableau knowledge to deep dive into specific large datasets for analysis, troubleshooting or use case development.
  • Tools Requirements: Domo, Tableau, Big Query or SQL, SFDC, Snowflake

- Deliverables

  • In alignment with segment, partner and digital analyst team provide an executive summary of impact across KPIs, top takeaways across each pillar, and recommendations for next quarter plan.
  • Monthly deliver top 5 Impactful Insights which can range from investment decisions, performance, capabilities, etc.
  • Deliver the right balance of business and data acuity. Efficiently communicate to the business how to best apply data and insights to acquire desired business outcomes.
  • Deliver a monthly summary performance which aggregates regional comparisons to establish performance toward goal and key KPI trends across regions / segments.
  • Own and deliver sprint requirements: measurements, targeting, segmentation, etc

Who You Are

  • At least 10+ years of experience in data and insights role
  • Demonstrate a creative can-do attitude and innovation mind set in a rapid changing environment
  • Ability to define and develop strategies and drive action through organization
  • Visualization Knowledge of Tableau, SAS or Domo
  • Activation of Large Data Environments: Tableau, SnowSQL, GCP, Oracle
  • Experience in partner with sales and business units
  • Super communication and story telling skills to articulate deep data detail in a business relevant manner
  • Disciplined and process oriented; proven attention to detail
  • Results driven
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Results-oriented spirit with a desire to communicate new ideas to team members and aggressively seek challenges
  • You will have a team first mind set
