The Innovation Manager will lead the development of strategy and innovation of legacy network operations. This individual will work with the program team as well as Functional Leads to understand the existing architecture and challenge the status quo. They will serve as a Expert in emerging technologies and, using both current and emerging technology, this individual will seek solutions that drive value and increase cost savings, and efficiencies.

Candidates must be a thinker and a doer and will work in close collaboration with network operations and engineering. This role will also be working with cross functional teams to understand technology requirements, lead initiatives and liaise with stakeholders to manage technology projects and conduct data reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities:
This individual will establish and lead technology and innovation vision and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
Develop and oversee execution of technical roadmaps in support of the vision.
Research trends and issues in the telecommunication industry, including leading edge innovative technologies and their application.
Work with senior management to advise on impacts, risks & recommendations.
Ensure alignment and prioritization of program related technology and innovation projects, including developing business case justification and cost/benefit analysis for spending and initiatives.
Accountable for the successful implementation of program related technology and innovation projects leveraging project management skills to ensure execution excellence.
Provide guidance on technical matters and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Develops and maintains a strong knowledge seeking/sharing network both internally and externally.
Establish trusted relationships, negotiate, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.


Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Candidate must have a total of 12 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 12 years of work history OR an Associates and 10 years, a Bachelors and 8 years, a Masters and 6 years or a PhD and 2 years of work history.

Ability to communicate effectively at multiples levels within the organization.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on superior customer service.
Ability to understand current and future trends.
Ability to develop and foster knowledge networks and build relationships, both internally and externally.
Strong sense of ownership and sense of urgency to drive initiatives to completion.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Team oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
Understands the upstream and downstream implications of his/her work.
Tracks and shares external trends, best practices or ideas.
Program management experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or business field.
Ability to partner with cross functional stakeholders, leaders, and teams.
Previous analyst experience in technology related role.
Experience in using data analysis to drive business outcomes.
High degree of intellectual curiosity demonstrated by creative ideas/research.

Required Clearance:
TSSCI with Polygraph.
