Positions in this function implement, maintain, and/or conduct audits that monitor and assess pharmacy compliance with company policy and procedures, federal/state regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Collect, interpret and summarize information obtained via audits to assess pharmacy compliance specific to infusion services and sterile compounding. Facilitate improved compliance through the issuance and support of corrective action plans designed to address areas of non-compliance identified during an audit. Gather, analyze and share audit results, trends and recommendations.

  • Analyzes and investigates

  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

  • Contribute subject matter expert support as needed to both internal and external parties

  • Complete pre-audit work including travel planning, materials gathering, and desk audit activities independently and in accordance with established objectives
  • ""
  • Complete post-audit work including checklist submission, checklist follow-up and issuance of corrective action plan independently, collaborate and support follow up activities as needed and in accordance with established objectives
  • ""
  • Learn and apply information regarding changes to regulatory requirements, accreditation standards and corporate policy guidance to audits in a timely manner

  • Conduct pharmacy compliance audits:""

    • Explain and educate pharmacy staff on purpose and scope of audit
    • """
    • Conduct physical inspection and assessment of pharmacy premises
    • """
    • Conduct a review and assessment of pharmacy logs and records

    • Identify and interview key pharmacy staff
    • """
    • Gather and review evidence to assess pharmacy compliance
    • """
    • Summarize key findings and assessments in the audit checklist

Required Qualifications:

  • Active technician license in good standing in the state of residence
  • ""
  • Highs school diploma/ GED
  • ""
  • 3+ years of active hands-on pharmacy technician experience
  • ""
  • 1+ year(s) of active pharmacy technician sterile compounding experience specific to aseptic processes, compounding sterile preparations, and USP <797> compliance
  • ""
  • Excellent communication skills/professional presence with ability to lead in person and virtual/desktop facility audits
  • "

  • Knowledge and experience with Simplify 797 and CPR+ programs
  • ""
  • 1+ year(s) of active pharmacy technician sterile compounding experience specific to USP <800> compliance
  • ""
  • 1+ year(s) of audit experience in the healthcare environment, preferably within the pharmacy setting
  • ""
  • 1+ year(s) of supervisory experience in the healthcare environment, preferably within the sterile product complex
  • ""
  • Accredited and nationally recognized pharmacy sterile compounding certification
  • ""
  • Recent records of sterile compounding completed assessments
