Responsibilities

Description:

The Infrastructure Monitoring Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and oversight for network and IT infrastructure Event monitoring and Event management team in a 24 x 7 operations environment of the DHA Global Network Operations Center. The Infrastructure Monitoring Lead is responsible for establishing and training a fully functioning Event analysis team and acts as technical and procedural subject matter expert resource for the Event monitoring team to assist with more complex event analysis and correlation.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish staffing, scheduling and training plans for Event analysts.
  • Provide periodic analysis and review of event monitoring processes and procedures.
  • Provide direction/guidance for procedure, process and development of Event analysts.
  • Provide corrective and constructive feedback and mentoring to Event Analysts.
  • Provide SME support for more complex event analysis and correlation.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and professional documentation on all supported issues.
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Conduct performance and quality control reviews to maintain high standards of technical performance in the event monitoring team.
  • Maintain good customer relations and service standards.
  • Complete all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to the schedule and have dependable attendance.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Technically competent.
  • Strong critical thinking skills that facilitate expedient problem solving.
  • Experienced in and capable of effectively using a broad range of network monitoring techniques and tools.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of standard network architecture and design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MHS network architecture and supported applications.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to implement, train, and maintain Incident Management process.
  • Government-support experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL, processes and process development.
  • Proven technical competency in the following areas:

o Microsoft Office 365 Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

o Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project

o BMC Remedy version 8.x+

o Monitoring tools - Splunk ITSI, SCOM, Topaz, SolarWinds
