Responsibilities

The Contractor shall serve as a member of the Information Assurance (IA) team on the UAVIO Project. During the execution of these requirements, through access to such items as physical hardware and software interfaces, the Information Assurance staff may be exposed to other contractors proprietary information. Requirements for this position include:

  • Prepare and submit Assessment and Authorization packages for UAVIO following RMF processes using the web-based Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (EMASS) system.
  • Support the RMF process to include developing and maintaining POA&Ms and IA artifacts, SSP maintenance, and Risk Assessment Report (RAR).
  • Apply the disciplines of Computer Security necessary to perform Information System Security Audits, Information System Security Assessments, Risk Management Plans, and Security architectures.
  • Perform periodic auditing and continuous monitoring tasks to maintain security compliance.
  • Ensure Department of Defense (DOD) security policies, standards, and procedures are enforced.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and device configuration assessment using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution using ACAS software to facilitate a compliant and secure system.
  • Conduct low to high file transfers.
  • Attend meetings/teleconferences and provide status/update of assigned tasks
  • Maintain knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, CNSS Instructions, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) publications, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) instructions, and any government policies and guidance related to securely protecting platform information technology (PIT) systems.
  • Have experience with the EMASS web-based system.
  • Have experience with STIGs and the ability to justify the technical need for applying each setting.
  • Stay proficient and up to date in all IA training requirements.
  • Stay current with all IA related certification as required by NIWC PAC and DOD 8570.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years of demonstrated Information Assurance (IA) experience
  • Experience preparing and submitting Assessment and Authorization packages
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, CNSS Instructions, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) publications, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) instructions, and Government policies and guidance related to securely protecting platform information technology (PIT) systems
  • Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to include developing and maintaining POA&Ms and IA artifacts, SSP maintenance, and Risk Assessment Report (RAR)
  • Experience performing Information System Security Audits, Information System Security Assessments, developing Risk Management Plans, and assessing security architectures
  • Experience performing periodic auditing and continuous monitoring tasks to maintain security compliance
  • Experience ensuring that Department of Defense (DOD) security policies, standards, and procedures are enforced
  • Experience performing vulnerability scanning and device configuration assessment using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ability within ACAS software)
  • Experience conducting low to high file transfers
  • Experience with the eMASS web-based system
  • Experience with STIGs and justifying the technical need for applying each setting;
  • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certifications
  • Experience with building/updating an ACAS scanning tool/computer
  • Minimum security clearance level of SECRET

AND EITHER:

  • Minimum associate degree and at least five (5) years of experience in skills identified above

OR

  • Formal degree requirement may be evaluated and waived if applicant provides at least seven (7) years of experience
